Sunday’s NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20 event at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan featured Aaron Wolf defeating EVIL to become the new NEVER Openweight Champion. This match was notable for being Wolf’s official in-ring debut for NJPW and his wrestling career.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that EVIL is currently believed to be looking for potential options for the future of his wrestling career outside of NJPW.
It was reported that AEW is currently not expected to be among those outside options due to AEW CEO Tony Khan was said to not be a fan of EVIL’s work in NJPW.
EVIL has been with NJPW since 2011 starting off in their Young Lions development system and is the current leader of the HOUSE OF TORTURE villainous faction.
