Bruce Prichard Comments on “Ten Matches On A Card Is Hard To Watch” for Why WWE Does Fewer for PLEs

A recent episode of the Something To Wrestle with Bruce Prichard podcast featured co-host and WWE Executive Director Bruce Prichard giving his thoughts about why WWE does less matches for Premium Live Events in recent years and his claims that ten matches on a card is hard to watch for fans.

“I go back in time; ten matches on a card is hard to watch. When you look at the presentation and you put so many things in a ten match card, at the end of the night, what do you remember? You’re most likely going to remember the main event, but there may have been an angle in the third match and a hell of a match, but you have forgotten because you have seen so much other shit. Good, bad, or indifferent. I think less is more.

Sometimes you have to battle that demon of, ‘We have to get more people on this.’ The PLE streaming aspect of the business has changed that completely. Talent is not paid on pay-per-view buys. There is no time allotment. They don’t really want more than three (hours). It’s a different time and a different way people consume. ‘I need my WrestleMania moment.’ You have a moment next month in the main event. ‘I want to be on WrestleMania.’ Where? It’s going to get lost here and we’re doing this here. There is a lot more territory and avenues. Plus, you’re doing television every week. Television is just as valuable as the PLEs with rights fees. To be on television to a huge number of people versus PLEs, that has changed. Every time you’re on screen is valuable.”

Liv Morgan Comments on Her Shoulder Injury “Really Mentally Messed With Me”

A recent episode of the What’s Your Story? with Stephanie McMahon podcast featured Liv Morgan as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Morgan’s thoughts about how her shoulder injury in 2025 had mentally messed with her.

“I don’t know if it was, like, the initial devastation of the injury. When I tore my shoulder in 2022, I accepted it. It was my first injury. I was like, ‘Okay, I’ll come back from this.’ But this injury really, like, mentally messed with me. I believe everything happens for a reason — and I know that to be true. But this was the one time selfishly where I was like, ‘This didn’t happen for my greatest good. Like, this happened to f*ck me.’ You know? That’s what I really felt. And I struggled with that. Being someone that believes everything happens for a reason, I’m so delusional. Like, ‘This happened. Even if it seems terrible, I’m going to come back better on the other side.’ Like, believing in that but then suddenly not believing in that. I’m like, ‘What the f*ck do I believe in?’ What do I have to believe in if I don’t believe that everything’s going to be okay at the end of the day?”

Morgan also gave her thoughts about how a conversation with Raquel Rodriguez helped her gain perspective on her struggles and persevere through it.

“When she said that, I kind of was able to pick myself up a little bit more. I was feeling so sorry for myself and I just was so upset and so disappointed. And she said that, and that kind of took me out of it a little bit. Like, let me try to have more faith. And I also think, you know, just that five months by myself. Like, being in WWE since I was 20 years old and feeling like it [was] such a prevalent part of my life before then. Not being involved, it was hard for me.

I think sitting with myself those five months and just being Gionna Daddio and not Liv Morgan. I’m like, ‘Man, I’m such a p*ssy, I guess.’ I’m, like, such a sensitive little soft girl. And I’m still trying to shake it off a little bit. But I don’t know, I think just being me for this extended period of time shifted a lot of my mindset as well. Like, I feel different. I don’t feel like I’m the same person that I was six months ago.”

Morgan also gave her thoughts about how she had feared she would get fired from WWE following her arrest in 2023 in Florida for possession of marijuana and synthetic marijuana vape.

“Right away, I’m like, ‘I am gonna get fired.’ I am so upset, ‘I’m gonna get fired. I spent my whole life being good. I get arrested one time, and it’s not even my fault, even though it is. I am gonna get fired.’

And the thing I thought the most was like, you know, the community work we do here. I love doing community work. I always get chosen to do the community work. I’ll not be able to do the community work. I am like, ‘so sad, work’s gonna fire me, and I just ruined everything. I spent my whole life for this one goal, and now everything is squandered.’ I was so upset.

I bailed myself out of jail, which is why I’m not in the orange [jumpsuit], because they were like, ‘Are you going to be bailed out?’ I was like, ‘Yes, I will be bailing myself out.’ Well, I mean, I had called my mom and was like, ‘Mom, if you can wire the money, let’s go. Get me out of here.’ Like this was my fund; I pretty much bailed myself out of jail.”
