Reason for Rusev’s Current WWE Abscense
Rusev has been absent from WWE programming since this past November.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that the reason for Rusev’s current abscense is due to WWE officials not wanting him to be wasted in pointless matches where he would be booked to lose most of them.
WWE officials reportedly currently want to keep wrestlers who are not currently involved in storylines to be kept fresh by not having them appear on television until new creative plans are in place for them.
Besides Rusev, The Street Profits’ Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford’s current abscense from WWE is believed to be due to similar reasons.
Logan Paul Says He Has “A Weird Feeling” Vince McMahon Will Return to WWE in Future
A recent episode of the Impaulsive podcast featured rapper Lil Yachty as the guest. One of the topics discussed included co-host Logan Paul giving his thoughts about his belief that former WWE and TKO Executive Chairman Vince McMahon will return to WWE in the future.
Logan Paul – “Yeah he’ll definitely get inducted. I also have a weird feeling he’ll come back.”
Lil Yachty – “I hope so, I really hope he does.”
Paul – “I think he’d get an insane pop.”
Paul also gave his thoughts about fans criticizing WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque’s booking online and his belief that Levesque deserves zero percent of the blame.
Lil Yachty – “I don’t think that’s fair.”
Logan Paul – “It’s also not his fault. I’m telling you as an insider, it’s not his fault. Like zero percent.”
Yachty – “It’s a company. No one huge Fortune 500 company have all decisions leaning on one person, that’s just not how companies go.”
Paul – “It’s human nature, unfortunately. How easy is it to just assign blame. It’s your fault, we hate you. When in reality, most situations have a lot of nuance.”

Cody Rhodes Comments on Why He Misses Old WWE House Show Schedule
A recent episode of the What Do You Wanna Talk About? with Cody Rhodes podcast featured WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Rhodes’ thoughts about WWE cutting back on their house show schedule and why Rhodes misses the old WWE house show schedule.
“I’ve said it on this podcast, and I know it gets me in trouble with my peers — and I don’t care. I miss them so much. I miss the live events for the rhythm of wrestling. I feel like it helped actually prevent injuries. I feel like it helped a general just — not just the camaraderie, but the other thing is being part of the team. If you’re only here once or twice a week, it doesn’t feel like — what team are you on? Versus, ‘No, this is our crew. We run. We run Saturday. We run Sunday.’
And I know it’s a different time, and the way the company works, it has its own difficulties and challenges today that are different, but I miss it. And I miss, it was those things. Just, ‘Try this.’ ‘Hey, did you hear that?’ It’s literally things that you could not put in a lab and replicate. Just a general excited fan. I miss it. But maybe it was a moment in time. I don’t know.”
The Undertaker responded agreeing that more live events would be a good thing for WWE’s talent but admitted that the old schedule was too much of a grind and a better balance would need to be found for talents health.
“I get trying to protect your talent, but I also agree with you that not working does maybe lead to — because iron sharpens iron sometimes,” Undertaker said. “And again, I don’t think we need to grind like we did, but I don’t think you need not to do live events.”
