Pre-show Arrivals

We get a shot of Uber Arena before heading to Superstar Arrivals including new United States Champions Carmelo Hayes and Giulia and the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, who gets some boos from the crowd.

In-Ring: Randy Orton, Trick Williams, The Miz, Rey Fenix

We head to ringside for the arrival of Randy Orton, the crowd singing along with his theme as he walks down the ramp. He soaks in the adulation of the fans in Berlin as he gets into the ring and poses on the turnbuckle. His music fades into a sea of “Randy” chants as the 14-time world champion has a mic in hand.

He says it feels good to be back in this ring, welcoming the crowd to Friday Night SmackDown to a big pop. Another “Randy” chant as Orton starts to speak again…but is quickly interrupted by the music of Trick Williams. No Booker T to add to the affairs, but the crowd is chanting(?) “Whoop that Trick” as the former NXT and TNA Champion heads to the ring, staring the Viper down upon entering.

Trick gets a mic of his own, running Orton down by saying everyone says it’s gonna be their year. The crowd is riled up, nearly drowning his voice out as he says there’s a new star here…Trick Williams. He doesn’t know about Germany, but every other country loves them some Trick Willy. He gives Orton a bit of math to sort it out, as the crowd chants “RKO” while Williams says it’s not 2006, it’s 2026. Let’s talk about it.

Orton agrees to talk about it, talking about his height and his “smoking hot wife” before saying the only number that matters is the 14 world titles he’s won. He gives Trick some kudos, but there’s one thing Randy is unsure about…and that it’s Trick coming out here to interrupt him. He doesn’t know if Trick has the brains.

Williams agrees, saying Randy is one of the greatest. He appreciate what Randy said, but has issue with him saying Trick doesn’t have the brains. He’s out here to seize his opportunity, and brush up against one of the great ones. Let’s talk about it. He hypes himself up, before Orton says he doesn’t know what they’re teaching him down in NXT…but you don’t turn your back on a Viper.

He’ll let that one slide, but if it happens again, he isn’t gonna whoop that trick…he’s gonna kick Trick’s ass. Things start to get heated between the two, leading to Randy looking for a draped DDT on the rising star…before The Miz comes in for some revenge. What he gets instead is an RKO, sending him out of the ring as Randy stares down Trick before heading out of the ring. Rey Fenix makes his entrance as Orton heads up the ramp, with the Viper giving Fenix some words of advice and praise as we head to commercial.

Trick Williams vs. Rey Fenix

The two trade offense back and forth, leading to a set of nearfalls from both sides. Trick sends Fenix to the corner, but it’s quickly turned around as Fenix uses the ropes to take Wiliams down. He sends Trick to the outside, only to take a leg lariat when Williams returns quickly, and that gets him a two count.

Trick continues to wear Fenix down, slamming him to the mat for another nearfall as the crowd chants “Let’s go Fenix” and “Whoop that Trick.” Williams sends the luchador out of the ring, beating him down before sending Fenix into the ring steps as we get muted audio for the “ad break.”

Williams brings Fenix back into the ring, quickly sending him back into the corner for some stomps before Rey rolls out of the ring. The ref begins the count, but Fenix is back in the ring…only to be slammed down hard by Trick for a two. Williams keeps things moving as he wears the luchador down some more. He hoists Fenix up for a suplex, but it gets countered into a cradle for two. Set of kicks from Fenix takes Trick to the canvas, and both men are down as the ref begins the count. The two start fighting back to their feet as the audio is muted bringing us back.

Trick keeps Fenix at bay with a knee before sending him to the corner. Rey tries to fight back but gets caught on the shoulders of Williams, managing to break free to force the former NXT Champion to the corner. The two fight it out on the turnbuckle…and Fenix wins out with a hurricanrana, sending Williams to the mat for a close two count!

Fenix goes back up, but Trick blocks it before sending the luchador down hard with a 360 pump kick and a uranage for a nearfall each time. Fenix is on his feet in his corner and Trick charges at him, only for Rey to dodge just in time. Fenix connects with a tornado inverted DDT on Trick, but it’s only good for two.

Trick is sent to the ropes as Fenix lands Adios, Amigo sending him to the mat. Fenix up top but he gets caught by Trick, and a counter by Rey is countered into a roll up with extra tights for Trick to get the win!

Winner: Trick Williams via Pinfall.

Trick celebrates.

Backstage: Giulia, Kiana James

We go backstage, where someone forgot to do a mic check as Byron Saxton nearly takes out my eardrums to talk to Giulia and Kianna James. Kianna speaks oddly quiet for this segment, but the main point is that Giulia has no qualms about beating up Alexa Bliss to defend the Women’s United States Championship later tonight.

Video: Aleister Black, Damian Priest, Zelina, Rhea Ripley

Video Package: Highlights from last week’s Ambulance Match, that saw involvement from Zelina Vega and Rhea Ripley before Damian Priest ultimately took the victory!

Backstage: Damian Priest, Drew McIntyre

Backstage, someone has actually done a mic check as Byron talks to Priest, who talks about what’s next for him. He looks at the Royal Rumble as his opportunity to face Cody Rhodes…before Drew McIntyre steps in to talk about the possibility that he will be champion going into the Rumble. Priest reminds Drew what happened the last time they faced off, wishing him luck before walking off.

Backstage: Drew McIntyre

We then hear from Drew about getting into 3 Stages of Hell. Emotions are high, says Drew, but not for him. He can only imagine the look on his face when he sees what Drew has this week…showing off “the very watch Dusty pawned off to pay for Cody’s future.” He says Cody is gonna get himself disqualified on the first fall, and all he needs is one more fall to make sure he finally wins the WWE Championship.

Backstage: Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax, Lash Legend

Elsewhere, Alexa is on the phone with Charlotte wishing her all the best in feeling better when Nia Jax and Lash Legend appear, mocking her about Flair not being around when Bliss has an opportunity for herself. Bliss tells Lash to drop Nia as soon as she can, before walking off.

WWE Women’s United States Championship
Alexa Bliss vs. Giulia (c)

Things turn into a shoving contest early on, before the two trade strikes. Giulia takes control for a suplex, and Bliss retreats to the corner…which allows the champ to set up for a missile dropkick and a two count. She sends the challenger to the corner and to the outside, but Bliss catches her off guard before going off the apron for a cannonball senton…but nobody’s home, and the champ is in control as we fade to black for the commercial break (well, USA’s anyway).

Bliss starts to regain control until Kianna gets involved, and this allows Giulia to get back on the attack as she has Alexa up on the ropes. She hits a dropkick for a two count, and takes Alexa back down for another nearfall before we go out of “break.”

Bliss escapes to the corner as the champ stays on her with a knee. She drives Alexa into the ropes, backing off at the ref’s insistence…and this allows another cheap shot from James. Bliss starts to fight back with strikes, only to be knocked back with a forearm from Giulia. She continues to wear the champ down, getting a two count for her efforts.

Giulia catches the challenger off guard for a nearfall of her own, followed by Arrivederci! She looks for a second one but Bliss breaks free, only for Kianna to distract her by getitng on the apron. The ref deal with Kianna as Alexa goes up top…only to be knocked off by Nia and Lash! Giulia lands the Northern Lights Bomb on the challenger to retain.

Winner: Giulia via Pinfall to retain the WWE Women’s United States Championship.

No celebration here as Nia and Lash attack Bliss after the match, leading to an Annihilator.

Backstage: Nick Aldis, Jordynne Grace. Chelsea Green, Alba Fyre, Kit Wilson

Backstage, Nick Aldis officially welcomes Jordynne Grace(!) to SmackDown before Chelsea Green interrupts, showing off her AAA Mixed Tag Team Title while demanding her re-re-rematch for the Women’s United States Title. Grace talks about not being a diva like some women, and this riles up Green and Alba Fyre…to the point where Aldis gets an idea, and makes Fyre vs. Grace official for later tonight! He then deals with Kit Wilson by closing the door on him when asked about dealing with Matt Cardona

Backstage: Matt Cardona, Cody Rhodes

Speaking of, Matt Cardona is standing by with Byron Saxton. He talks about the options he had after leaving nearly six years ago, but he decided to bust his ass and work as hard as he could to eventually come back. He turns his attention to his old pal Cody Rhodes (who gets booed by the crowd), saying he’s not just back to be back but to get that title. Cody says once he gets past Drew McIntyre tonight, he’ll think it over. They shake hands, and we go to commercial break. Up next, 8-Man tag action between the Wyatt Sicks and MFTs!

Video: Wyatt Sicks, The MFTs

Video Package: The ongoing war between the Wyatt Sicks and MFTs leading to our match tonight!

Eight-Man Tag Team Match
The MFTs (Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Talla Tonga, & JC Mateo) vs. Wyatt Sicks (Erick Rowan, Dexter Lumis, Joe Gacy, & Uncle Howdy)

We head to ringside, where the MFTs make their way out for our next match. The lights go out and the fireflies are about as the Wyatt Sicks make their entrance, heading down the ramp and posing before this match gets underway!

Tonga Loa and Dexter Lumis start things off, with Lumis quickly taking control before making the tag to Joe Gacy. Gacy takes Loa down hard for a nearfall, before sending him out of the ring…leading to a dive on him and Tama Tonga by the tag champs! We get a standoff betwen the two groups on the outside as the muted audio takes us to “break.”

Gacy and Loa eventually get back in the ring, with Gacy fending off Tama on the apron before Talla takes him down while the ref is distracted. This gives Loa an opening, stomping away at Gacy before tagging in Tama. Double-teaming Tonganas keep Joe worn down as Tama continues the attack, bringing Gacy to the corner. Tag made to Talla (the tallest Tonga, you see), who hits a clothesline before taking Joe to the mat.

Back on his feet, Gacy is sent to the ropes for an elbow as the crowd lets Solo know how they feel about him…and speaking of, Sikoa gets the tag. He sends Gacy back to the corner, but Joe starts to fight back before a hammer throw sends him to the opposite side. Sikoa lands some hard right hands on Gacy before the ref intervenes, as the audio mutes to bring us back from “break.”

Sikoa lands some more shots on Gacy before tagging Tama back in, who mainly focuses on keeping Gacy away from a tag…only to take a clothesline off the ropes by Gacy, who tags in Erick Rowan! MFTs rush into the ring, but Rowan goes off on them like crazy. Talla Tonga steps into the ring and we get the hoss fight we’ve been craving all match, the two big men trading shots back and forth until a headbutt from Talla sends Rowan to a knee.

Talla hits the ropes but gets caught with a forearm by Rowan, who hoists Talla up onto his shoulders…but the tallest of the Tongans breaks free for a clothesline! The two go back at it until they lay each other out with a double clothesline. Howdy and Solo get onto the apron, and the two giants crawl to the corner for a tag to their respective leaders!

They go back and forth on strikes until Solo goes for the spike…only for Howdy to counter with a uranage! He goes for Sister Abigail but Sikoa breaks free, getting a tag to Tama. Tama takes a uranage as JC Mateo tries to get involved. He take a uranage, but before Howdy can do any more he is distracted by the sight of Solo holding his lantern. This allows the MFTs to take control, with Tama hitting the Hidden Bl–I mean, Cutthroat–for the win.

Winner: The MFTs via Pinfall.

The group retreats up the ramp, with Solo still holding onto the lantern as we cut away.

Backstage: Carmelo Hayes, The Miz, Ilja Dragunov

Backstage, Carmelo Hayes bumps into The Miz and they talk up title shots for the United States and WWE titles, with Dragunov also appearing as he wants to talk to Aldis about a shot at the WWE Championship down the line.

Video: Oba Femi

Video Package: Oba Femi is coming.

Alba Fyre vs. Jordynne Grace

Back at ringside, Alba Fyre is accompanied by Chelsea Green as she heads to the ring for our next match. She faces Jordynne Grace in the latter’s SmackDown debut, up next!

We head back to ringside as Jordynne Grace makes her entrance to a nice pop. She enters the ring and this match gets underway!

Fyre goes for a cheap shot, and this just leads to Grace unleashing hell on her before sending her to the corner. Alba starts to fight back before being sent down hard to the mat. Fyre lands a kick to the midsection and a DDT off the ropes for a two count.

Some mounted punches from Alba before she is shoved away by Grace, who blocks a suplex attempt. Fyre tries to send her into the corner but Grace gets out of harm’s way before landing a spinebuster and a package powerbomb…but Green distracts the ref to prevent a pin.

Green gets sent off the apron by Jordynne, who lands Beast Mode (a torture rack bomb!) on Alba Fyre to pick up the win.

Winner: Jordynne Grace via Pinfall.

Grace heads up the ramp, only to come face to face with Jade Cargill. Jade has a mic and starts running Grace down asking if she thinks she’s special (and I say “ya do” cause that’s how the song goes), before saying she’s on Jade’s show and she is that…well, you know. Cargill drops the mic and walks off, and we cut away.

Backstage: Sami Zayn

Backstage, we hear from Sami Zayn who admits he kinda hopes Drew wins the WWE Championship…but either way, he’s ready for whoever leaves as champion.

Backstage: Nathan Frazer, Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, Axiom

Backstage, we see Nathan Frazer getting ready to race his friend Axiom to the ring for the open challenge…but it’s actually Johnny Gargano who lays him out before running off. We see the actual Axiom check on his friend before heading to ringside.

WWE United States Championship Open Challenge Match
Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Carmelo Hayes (c)

Commentary hypes up the 3 Stages of Hell match (and the commercial-free final hour) as we head to ringside, where Carmelo Hayes makes his entrance to continue the United States Championship Open Challenge. We find out who he faces up next! …

Where Shinsuke Nakamura makes his entrance to answer the open challenge!

The crowd sings along with his theme as he walks down the ramp, entering the ring to get this match underway!

The two men circle the ramp before locking up, with Hayes eventually taking control. He sends Nakamura out of the ring, but is cut off at the apron by Shinsuke who gets back in the ring, only to be taken down as we go to “break.”

Hayes sends Nakamura to the corner, starting up some mounted punches with a pause for the “6-7” (yeah, I know) before finishing things up. He goes for a suplex, but Shinsuke fights back for a two count. Hayes with a nearfall this time, and Nakamura gets a quick one of his own to end the exchange. Nakamura with a knee drop on the champ gets a two.

Shinsuke sends Melo to the corner for some kicks before driving his foot into the throat. Snapmare by Nakamura into a chinlock. Hayes fights to his feet but is laid out with a chop as the challenger gets a nearfall to take us out of “break.”

Hayes gets sent to the corner as Shinsuke lands some knee shots. He sends Melo to the ropes this time, laying him out with a kick. Hayes tries to fight back in the corner, but a dragon screw sends his leg into the ropes and forces him to the floor.

Nakamura brings the champ back in the ring, laying some more shots in before getting a two count. He continues the attack in the corner, focused on the leg as the ref checks in on Hayes. Nakamura continues to go after the leg, setting up for a modified cloverleaf. Hayes kicks away at the challenger, finally breaking the hold.

Hayes gets to a knee but takes a set of kicks to the chest. Nakamura eggs him on, and Hayes responds in kind as he fights back. Melo looks a little shaky here, but manages to land a DDT for a two count. Nakamura is back up, sending Hayes to the corner before the champ fights back to send Shinsuke to the mat as we go to another “break.”

Hayes goes to the corner, but is cut off by the challenger who lands another dragon screw to keep Melo down. Hayes manages to break away from another dragon screw, landing a kick to the head of Shinsuke but favoring his leg as the ref checks on him once more. Hayes insists he’s fine as he tells the challenger to try and take his title.

Nakamura pays little mind to the taunt as he goes back to work on the champ. He brings Hayes to his feet and to the ropes, but Melo fights out of a suplex for a headscissors to force the challenger to the mat as we return from “break.”

Both men are down, but make it back to their feet as Hayes goes to the corner. Nakamura intercepts him on the turnbuckle, setting Hayes up in a tree of woe before charging at him for a sliding dropkick…but Melo makes him miss as he rises up! He breaks free of the ropes to get the drop on Shinsuke, bringing him back into the ring. He goes up top for a frog splash, but Nakamura rolls out of the way before going after the leg with a submission hold!

Hayes struggles, crawling to the ropes to break the hold. He catches the challenger with a counter, hitting the ropes to charge at Shinsuke…who lands a kick to keep him down! Death Valley Driver gets a two count for Nakamura.

Hayes counters a Kinshasa with a thrust kick before going to Bret’s rope for a kick and a nearfall of his own. Hayes gets back on the turnbuckle but is cut off by Nakamura, who sets up for an avalanche Kinshasa. He goes for another one but gets caught with the First 48! Hayes goes up top for Nothing But Net, and picks up the win to retain.

Winner: Carmelo Hayes via Pinfall to retain the WWE United States Championship.

Hayes offers a handshake to Nakamura post-match, and the proverbial Code of Honor is adhered to with a sign of sportsmanship.

Video: Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre

Video Package: The feud between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre comes to a head as both men head into 3 Stages of Hell for the Undisputed WWE Championship!

Undisputed WWE Championship Three Stages of Hell Match
Drew McIntyre vs. Cody Rhodes (c)

We head to ringside where we are reminded of the 3 Stages for tonight’s main event: First, a straight up wrestling match that can be won by pinfall, submission, disqualification, or count out. The second, where falls count anywhere on the premises of the Uber Arena. The third, if needed, will be held inside a steel cage, where a win comes by way of pinfall, submission, or escaping the cage with both feet touching the floor.

Drew McIntyre makes his entrance first, sporting the watch he says belonged to Dusty Rhodes as he walks down the ramp. He steps into the ring, with a decent pop despite being the “despicable heel” in this feud (some folks are just tired of Cody, and/or really wanna see Drew win this title and feud finally, I dunno what to tell ya lol). With that, Cody Rhodes makes his entrance as those not booing him are singing along to his theme. Rhodes enters the ring, staring McIntyre down as he we get introductions for the challenger and champion to get this huge main event underway!

An angry Cody charges at McIntyre, laying into the challenger before sending him to the outside. Drew tries to goad him into using a steel chair (and risk disqualification), but the champ is having none of it as he kicks him in the gut before bringing Drew back into the ring. Double bionic elbow sends McIntyre right back out, but Drew makes him pay for it by sending him into the ring steps!

He brings Cody back into the ring for a slam, but Rhodes counters into a Cody Cutter for a two count. Drew retreats to the corner, trying to beg the champ off…but Rhodes responds with some stomps before the ref intervenes. He sends Drew on a ride with a German suplex to a “Cody, Cody Rhodes” chant from the crowd. A second suplex attempt leads to Drew blocking it, taking the turnbuckle pad off in the process. The ref is focused on fixing this, allowing Drew to land a low blow and a Claymore for a pinfall to take the first stage!

Stage 1 winner: Drew McIntyre via Pinfall.

Stage 2 has begun and Falls Count Anywhere. Drew is pleased with this as he brings Cody out of the ring, setting up a Slim Jim table and sending the champ through it with a powerbomb…but it’s only good for a two count!

Cody starts to fight back now, sending the challenger into the ring post before taking the fight into the crowd. The brawl continues, leading to Cody being handed a phone for a selfie while he lays into McIntyre some more. The fight now spills to the backstage area, where a banana comes into play before Drew is slammed against a gate!

McIntyre turns it around now, bringing the champ back into the stands as he looks for a powerbomb…but Cody escapes using the guardrail, sending Drew away before setting him up on the table Drew brought out earlier on. Cody gets a crazy idea and goes up the steps…leaping off the guardrail for a splash that drives Drew through the table! Cover by the champ…and McIntyre narrowly kicks out!

Cody grabs the challenger and walks him toward the ringside area, throwing him over the barricade. Rhodes pays for this as McIntyre grabs a chair to slam against the champ…but a Claymore attempt is countered with a thrust kick by Cody! He clears the announce table, the crowd booing as he connects with a Cross Rhodes sending both men through the table…but it’s Cody who gets his arm over the challenger to take the second stage!

Stage 2 winner: Cody Rhodes via Pinfall.

We await the lowering of the steel cage as Cody has to bring Drew into the ring first, and with that the music hits as the cage comes down to begin Stage 3. When it does, Cody gets Drew to his feet before slamming the challenger against the side of the cage. Cody continues the attack on McIntyre, who looks to get out through the door (to the chagrin of Jesse Ventura, I’m sure) before Cody goes back after him. Drew counter acts for a nearfall before climbing up the side of the cage…but Rhodes intercepts him!

The two start to fight it out until Cody starts to climb over…only to be caught for a massive superplex by McIntyre, sending the champ crashing to the mat! Cover by Drew, but it’s only good for a two count. He continues to beat Rhodes down, but a back elbow only garners a nearfall for his efforts. Cody starts to fight back, but is driven down with a Future Shock DDT that gets another close two count for McIntyre.

Drew pummels Cody with right hands, but the champ catches him and breaks free. Drew goes right back to work, telling Rhodes to “stay down” as he continues to wear him down. Cody is sent to the ropes, but counters into a Cross Rhodes for a two count of his own!

Both men are down, but the champ is the first one to get to his feet. Drew is up as well, and the pair start trading shots at each other. Both men hit the ropes, and Cody dodges Drew in the corner for a snap powerslam and a nearfall. Drew rises to his feet, only to take a Cody Cutter as the champ goes for a cover…but Drew narrowly kicks out.

Cody is fired up as he goes for a Cross Rhodes, landing two as the crowd are booing…and Drew breaks free from a third attempt! He dodges Cody in the corner, and the champ runs into the exposed turnbuckle…and turns around into a Claymore! Drew makes the cover…and Cody kicks out in the nick of time to save his title!

Drew slowly gets to his feet and begins climbing the side of the cage…but gets caught by the champ, who takes a bite out of McIntyre’s leg! Cody climbs up to get the two duking it out on the top of the cage. Drew gets slammed on the top of the cage, and then to the side which forces McIntyre to drop to the canvas. Just when it looks like Cody is going to finish leaving the cage, he decides instead to go for an avalanche Cody Cutter off the side of the cage! He covers Drew, looking for the win…and is denied, as McIntyre kicks out once more!

Both men are down until Cody crawls to the ropes, slowly making it back to his feet. He sees the end in sight and starts to climb up the side of the cage, until Drew comes after him and bites HIS leg in revenge! They battle it out on the side of the cage, slamming each other into it to see who will fall first. Cody manages to get to the top but is kept down by McIntyre, who continues to land shot after shot on the champ.

It comes to a halt when Drew gets dropped, the top rope colliding with his little claymores to force him to the mat. Cody ALSO gets dropped, landing on his little American nightmares as he falls to the canvas. Drew crawls toward the cage door as it gets opened…but waiting for him on the outside is someone in a mask and hoodie. That person reveals themselves…and it’s Jacob Fatu! We may have found out who attacked Fatu all those months ago, as he goes after McIntyre…until Cody seemingly tries to intervene.

This only makes Jacob MORE mad, as the Samoan Werewolf goes off on Rhodes sending him into the corner…which allows Drew to crawl through the cage door, landing on the floor with both feet touching! We have a new Undisputed WWE Champion!

Winner: Drew McIntyre via Cage Escape to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion.

Drew is elated as he is handed the championship, retreating to the ramp to “celebrate” as an irate Cody blindsides Fatu for his interference. We get a look at the new champ and the man he just outsmarted(?) for the belt, to bring SmackDown to a close.
