Darby Allin Comments on His Goals for His Life & Wrestling Career Post-Mount Everest Climb
A recent episode of the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast featured Darby Allin as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Allin’s thoughts about what is still on his bucket list for his goals after climbing Mount Everest in 2025.
“I want to direct my full-length film that I finished the screenplay for. That’s the big thing. And then, you know, outer space would be cool. I don’t know. I feel like space would be, like, really, it would be fun.
But it’s also, right now, I just want to focus on making AEW as important as it deserves to be. Because I just feel like this place has changed my life and my family’s life so much. I just want to put as much work into it as much as possible.”
Allin also gave his thoughts about if winning the AEW World Championship will ever be his priority for his wrestling career in AEW.
“I don’t know. It’s a weird question because I don’t — it’s like something I talk to Sting about. He’s like, ‘I never really cared about championships. I cared more about just good storylines.’ To me, that’s where I feel like my head is on that thing.
Would it be cool to carry, you know, be the face of a company? Yes, absolutely. Considering I do feel like I best represent what AEW can give one. Because you take a guy like Darby Allin, where would have Darby fit in the grand scheme of pro wrestling if it wasn’t for AEW?”

Thunder Rosa Comments on Her Journey Back To The Ring From Injuries & Being Told By Her Doctors To Think About Changing Careers
A recent episode of the Busted Open Radio podcast featured Thunder Rosa. One of the topics discussed included Rosa’s recent return to the ring and her journey back from injuries.
“It was very difficult. I was nursing multiple injuries. The main one was pretty severe. I kept it lowkey in that aspect. The last time I was wrestled was All In. I have a direct relationship with my doctors and therapist at AEW. They knew immediately that I was not okay. It was very scary. I tried to focus my attention on broadcasting and doing my sidequests because there were times when I was not cleared to exercise, like lifting weights, for about three months. It took me about five, almost six months, to be cleared to get into the ring. It was a very tough time. The first two months were very dark. I spent a lot of time alone with just my dog, and there were days when I couldn’t get up because of the symptoms that I was experiencing. It changed everything in my body. Having chronic pain was something that I experienced a lo,t and I couldn’t sleep. I needed to be patient. I visited so many doctors and (had a lot of) testing. People don’t see the process. I didn’t post it or anything because I wanted to focus on cleansing.”
Rosa also gave her thoughts about how she was told by her doctors to start thinking about changing careers.
“I am blessed to be able to get in the ring again because there were points where, discussing with my three different doctors, some of them were like, ‘Maybe you should start thinking about changing your career.’ Mutiple doctors were telling me that.”
