As noted before, Monday’s WWE RAW show in Atlanta, Georgia featured WWE holding several tributes to AJ Styles’ wrestling career throughout the show. This tribute was notable for Styles giving a speech officially confirming his retirement from wrestling and WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker making a surprise appearance to announce Styles as the newest member of the WWE Hall of Fame.
The Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez reported that his sources stated that The Undertaker’s appearance and Hall of Fame announcement was a legitimate surprise to Styles.
Alvarez reported that WWE officials kept Styles in the dark regarding their plans for his induction announcement on the show.
This year’s WWE Hall of Fame class currently features Styles and Stephanie McMahon.
