WWE’s plans for this April’s WrestleMania 42 event in Las Vegas, Nevada reportedly are currently in flux with only the Roman Reigns vs. CM Punk match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship being locked in as of this week, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
In regards to potential plans for Brock Lesnar at the event, Dave Meltzer reported that the direction for Lesnar will likely be teased at the February 23rd WWE RAW show when Lesnar makes his return.
In regards to potential opponents, Meltzer reported that while there was a tease at the Royal Rumble of Oba Femi being Lesnar’s opponent, those spoken to stated that it was not a sure thing yet for WWE officials plans for Lesnar.
Meltzer reported that as of this past late January, a Lesnar vs. LA Knight match was internally listed for WrestleMania. Meltzer also reported that it is currently not known if that is still the planned direction due to nothing memorable involving Knight and Lesnar took place during the Men’s Royal Rumble match. Meltzer also reported that the Lesnar and Femi face-off during the match was set up to get a big reaction and succeeded in doing so by getting the biggest reaction of the show except for Brie Bella’s surprise return.
