Tuesday’s CMLL Martes Populares event at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico featured Gisele Shaw defeating Sanely to retain the MLP Women’s Canadian Championship.

This match was notable for it being the first time that a Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling championship was defended on a CMLL show.

Following the match, Maple Leaf Pro owner Scott D’Amore went into the ring and CMLL officially announced a new partnership alliance with Maple Leaf Pro
