As noted before, David Finlay’s contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling is currently set to expire soon and will be exploring options for the future of his wrestling career. Finlay gave an emotional farewell to the crowd at this past Wednesday’s The New Beginning in Osaka 2026 event in Osaka, Japan hinting he will be leaving NJPW after The New Beginning USA 2026 event later this month.
Former WWE and WCW wrestler and current WWE coach Fit Finlay recently reflected on Twitter about how he is excited for his son David’s “next chapter” in his life and pro wrestling career.
“.@THEdavidfinlay whats next? I’m proud of the journey you have been on. I’m excited for the next chapter. Your eminence in Wrestling is undeniable!
