As noted before, Penelope Ford suffered an injury during the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship match between MegaBad (Megan Bayne & Ford) and Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron) at Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Denver, Colorado. Ford was unable to continue the match resulting in an audible being called to change the originally planned match finish.
The Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez reported that his sources stated that Ford had suffered a sprained ankle.
Alvarez reported that Ford is also currently expected to be back soon from her injury.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported in a recent Q&A article that his sources stated that the initial fear backstage was that Ford had broken her ankle but after being checked by medical, her injury was not as severe as had been initially believed.
