As noted before, Warner Bros. Discovery recently denied rumors and reports of them having any involvement in Brody King abscense at this past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Ontario, California. WBD was initially rumored to have made the call to not want King to be on the show due to concerns over them not wanting a repeat situation of “Fuck ICE” chants from the crowd again on a televised AEW show.
In an official statement to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, AEW CEO Tony Khan confirmed that WBD had no involvement with King’s in-person abscense on the show.
Sapp reported that those spoken to stated that WBD also did not affect King’s bookings this past Wednesday in regards to the semantics of WBD saying they did not affect his “upcoming bookings.
“Tony Khan confirmed to me directly that WBD had nothing to do with Brody King being off of Dynamite this week, and noted that he was featured in a video package.
For those playing semantics about WBD saying they didn’t affect his “upcoming bookings,” sources also clarified they didn’t affect his bookings Wednesday.”
