As noted before, Will Ospreay has been out of action for AEW since this past August’s AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025 event due to a neck injury and surgery. This past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show featured a video package featuring Ospreay and his road to recovery from his neck injury.
107.7 The Bone held a recent interview with AEW CEO Tony Khan. One of the topics discussed included Khan providing an update on Ospreay’s recovery from his neck injury.
“I talk to Will Ospreay a lot, and he’s doing very, very well and on the road to recovery, which is incredible news for AEW. Because Will Ospreay’s one of our greatest stars we’ve ever had. And AEW’s a better place anytime Will Ospreay is involved in any aspect of All Elite Wrestling.”
While Khan did not provide a potential return timetable for Opsreay, Dave Meltzer reported in this past week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that AEW officials currently have the goal of Ospreay returning in time for this August’s All In 2026 event at Wembley Stadium.
