Bronson Reed Suffers Biceps Tear Injury

Monday’s WWE RAW show at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia featured “Big” Bronson Reed suffering an aparent biceps injury.

During the Men’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying Triple Threat match between Reed, Jey Uso, and Original El Grande Americano, Reed broke up a pinfall attempt by Americano on Uso by leaping onto Americano. This led to Reed landing hard on his shoulder and immediately felt something was wrong. After a Deadlift German Suplex spot by Americano to Reed, the referee checked on Reed and had him get out of the ring for medical attention. Reed did not return to the match as it continued on leading to Uso picking up the pinfall victory over Americano to qualify for the last spot in the Men’s Elimination Chamber.

Later in the show, Michael Cole provided a medical update stating that Reed had suffered a distal biceps tear and will be out of action indefinitely.

Monday’s WWE RAW show also featured this year’s Women’s Royal Rumble winner Liv Morgan officially choosing her title match for this April’s WrestleMania 42 event, which takes place on April 18-19 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

During the show, a somber looking Morgan and Dominik Mysterio came out to the ring. After some words by Mysterio boasting about him being the greatest WWE Intercontinental Champion and AAA Mega Champion, he called out Stephanie Vaquer and Jade Cargill to come out for Morgan’s decision announcement. This led to WWE Women’s World Champion Vaquer coming out first and then followed by WWE Women’s Champion Cargill.

Morgan grabbed a microphone and first turned her attention towards Vaquer and addressed what Vaquer told her last week. Morgan stated that Vaquer’s words last week really caught her by surprise and she isn’t used to being that vulnerable. Morgan continued stating that she thought about what Vaquer said all week and Vaquer is right. Morgan stated that she didn’t realize how selfish and privileged she is and how she didn’t know much about Vaquer’s story. Morgan continued stating that she didn’t know that Vaquer had to scratch and claw for ten years to get to WWE and now that she knows Vaquer’s story, she is sorry for overlooking her. Morgan then stated that she has to focus on her story now.

Morgan then turned her attention towards Cargill and approached her but before anything could happen, Morgan suddenly turned around and struck Vaquer in the head with the microphone laying her out. Cargill responded with a smile and a nod and walked out of the ring after Morgan revealed who her choice was. Morgan then continued her attack on Vaquer that ended with Morgan holding up the WWE Women’s World title and tossed it on Vaquer’s fallen body. Morgan stated that she is the greatest of all time before her and Mysterio walked away.

It was announced afterwards that Morgan’s match with Vaquer for the WWE Women’s World title was made official for WrestleMania 42.
