Rey Mysterio Provides Update on His Daughter Aalyah’s Wrestling Future
As noted before, Rey Mysterio had revealed in an interview with the Club 520 podcast this past September that his daughter Aalyah had been training at WWE’s Performance Center for a potential future pro wrestling career.
A recent episode of the What Do You Wanna Talk About? with Cody Rhodes podcast featured Mysterio as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Mysterio providing an update on the status of his daughter’s training for a potential pro wrestling career in the future.
“So I said, ‘Okay, the next step would be, let’s see if you can go through a full week of training. And if you can do that and you like it afterwards, then maybe it’s something you might want to think about.’ I’m actually trying to get her out there pretty soon so she can just feel what it’s like to train every day. Wake up, work out all day, sleep, back, same thing, That’s insane. Like, I’ve thought about that and it scares me, but it also excites me.”

CM Punk’s “Miseria Cantare” Entrance Song By AFI To Be Included in WWE 2K26
TechRadar held a recent interview with 2K Games’ WWE 2K26 MyRise lead narrative designer Sean Conaway. One of the topics discussed included Conaway revealing that this year’s WWE 2K26 video game will feature CM Punk’s old entrance theme song of “Miseria Cantare” by AFI when playing as the 2003 version of Punk.
“Conaway also shared that with MyRise this year, you’ll be able to unlock the likes of Polka Dot Dusty Rhodes and the 2003 independent scene version of cover star CM Punk (and yes, 2K has sprung for 2000s punk rockers AFI’s Miseria Cantare as his entrance theme for this version of the character).”
John Cena Comments on What William Regal Told Him After His Final Match
A recent episode of the No Contest Wrestling podcast featured former WWE wrestler John Cena as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Cena’s thoughts about his admiration of William Regal and advice Regal gave him when he was first starting out his wrestling career in WWE.During an appearance on the No Contest Wrestling podcast, Cena spoke about his long-standing admiration for Regal and advice Regal gave him early in his career.
“I really idolized William Regal, that European, Fit Finley, that catch-as-catch-can style
I asked him, ‘Did you see my match?’ ‘Yes.’ ‘How was it?’ His feedback was, ‘Lad, if you get yourself a pair of boots, at least you’ll look like a proper wrestler.’”
Cena also gave his thoughts about how he took Regal’s comments at face value and his conversation with Regal after his retirement match against Gunther.
“I was like, ‘Yo, I just got to get boots!’ Invest in yourself is what I took away from it.
In the callback of all callbacks, the night I retired, he literally came up to me and said, ‘Even without boots, you’re still a proper wrestler.’
The day was real busy, but all he needed was one sentence. You never know what the effect something like one sentence can have. That was like a 25 year callback.”
