Royce Keys Comments on His Current WWE Career Goals
As noted before, Royce Keys, former Powerhouse Hobbs in AEW, made his official debut in WWE at this past January’s WWE Royal Rumble 2026 event.
A recent episode of the What’s Your Story? with Stephanie McMahon podcast featured Keys as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Keys’ thoughts about his current goals for his WWE career.
“I have so many goals. I want to become champion. I want to become a legend. I want to be in the Hall of Fame. I want to be remembered as one of the most dominant and feared competitors. It’s what I’ve dreamed of. The moment I had talks about signing here, this isn’t a one-off or ‘I’m a WWE superstar now.’ Nah, I still have to work. It took me years to get here. Honeymoon phase is over. Let’s get with it and do work. I have people that depend on me and people that I can’t let down. I have people that I take care of. If I fail, they don’t eat. I’m not about to have that on my conscience and shoulders. There is no excuse.”

John Cena Comments on His Belief WWE Roster Is Going Through “Transformation”
Sports Illustrated’s The Takedown on SI held a recent interview with John Cena. One of the topics discussed included Cena’s thoughts about his belief that WWE’s roster is currently going through a “transformation” that he hasn’t seen since WrestleMania 20 or 21 in terms of impact for the future.
“Gosh, we have called up a whole bunch of new superstars. The program is going through a transformation I haven’t seen since WrestleMania 20, at Madison Square Garden, and then WrestleMania goes Hollywood a year later. I think we’re in a period of transition like that, pouring the foundations for the next 15-20 years for the WWE.”
Carmelo Hayes Comments on Wanting To Bring Storylines Back For His WWE United States Title Reign
Good Karma Wrestling held a recent interview with WWE United States Champion Carmelo Hayes. One of the topics discussed included Hayes’ thoughts about how he wants to bring back actual storylies for the WWE United States title for his reign.
“As far as who wants to answer the open challenge, to be honest, I think the open challenge is becoming a little bit more — I do want to bring storylines back cause I do feel like there is a period where guys have to earn an opportunity to get a title shot, you know what I mean? I don’t think guys should just be able to pull up every Friday and just automatically get a title shot cause until the open challenge opened, I didn’t get one, I had to earn one. It took a lot. If you guys remember, I was battling Andrade freaking every week, killing ourselves to get an opportunity for an opportunity. I’d like to bring that back.“
Hayes also gave his praise of The Miz for giving him advice during his low points in his WWE career and how The Miz is a necessary person to have around.
“He’s a cool dude despite what people want to portray him as or whatever. He’s necessary, if that makes sense. He’s a necessary person to have around. I remember at one point, despite whatever we have going on storyline wise, I just said, ‘Thank you bro for being here’. I’m like, ‘I’m so happy you’re here.’ I just had to tell him that, I was like, ‘I’m just so happy I’m here and you’re here at the same time and I’m getting to learn from you.’ Because there’s a lot of times where I was feeling low. Like, I don’t know what’s going on and the only person that’s ever been able to explain it to me is The Miz, because he’s been high, he’s been low, he’s been in the middle. He’s done it so many times. He gave me a great quote I guess, or some advice. He said, ‘When you’re at the top it’s gonna be easy because you figured out how to manage at the bottom.’ I was like ‘Dang, that’s so true.’ He was like ‘Yeah, just wait, everybody gets a turn.’ Not everybody gets their turn but when you’re good you’re gonna get chosen at some point right?”
