“Timeless” Toni Storm Attacked Backstage & Pulled From No Holds Barred Match
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show at the Save Mart Center At Fresno State in Fresno, California featured AEW announcing that “Timeless” Toni Storm has been pulled from her scheduled No Holds Barred match against Marina Shafir following a backstage attack by a mystery attacker prior to the show.
AEW released a video showing the aftermath of Storm being attakced backstage by a mystery person and an angry and distraught Mina Shirakawa calling out whoever did this to Storm. Shirakawa stated that she will find you and end you and thretened Shafir saying that if it was her, this will be her last day on Earth.
It was announced afterwards that Shirakawa will be replacing Storm for her scheduled No Holds Barred match against Shafir.

Will Ospreay Makes In-Ring Return
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured Will Ospreay making his official in-ring return from injury.
Ospreay competed in a singles match against Blake Christian, which was won by Ospreay.

Following the match, Ospreay called out AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley and ran him down leading to Moxley and Wheeler Yuta coming out from the crowd.

Ospreay ran out to meet them and a brawl broke out that ended with PAC running out and laying out Ospreay. PAC then locked in a Brutalizer to Ospreay that was broken up after AEW officials and security ran out. As PAC was making his way to the back, Ospreay ran after him and leaped off the stage to continue their brawl as the two made their way to the back with security.
This was Ospreay’s first match since this past August’s AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025 event due to a neck injury and surgery.
Kenny Omega & Swerve Strickland Issues Challenges To Each Other for AEW World Title #1 Contender & EVP Stips
Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured Kenny Omega and Swerve Strickland issuing challenges to each other with special stipulations attached.
During the show, a video aired featuring Omega calling out Strickland and stating Strickland isn’t a danger to himself and when he thinks of danger, he thinks risks and let’s roll the dice. Omega continued issuing a challenge to Strickland and for Strickland to put up his #1 Contender for the AEW World title on the line.

In a follow-up segment, Prince Nana was seen in the ring and after some words, he introduced Strickland who came out to the ring. Strickland sat down on a chair and proceeded to talk about his war with Brody King at Revolution and Omega’s comments earlier. After some words about those who have the power have all the leverage and control, Strickland agreed to Omega’s challenge and upped the stakes by wanting Omega to also put up his EVP status on the line as well.
