AEW released a new episode of their AEW Unrestricted podcast featuring co-hosts Aubrey Edwards and Will Washington announcing that today’s episode was the final episode of the podcast series.
Edwards and Washington also stated that they are not going anywhere and will remain very busy in their others roles in AEW.
Edwards and Washington also stated that AEW currently has plans to develop other podcast content in the future that fans will be excited for.
Will Washington – “That’s not to say that this is the end of podcasts with AEW.”
Aubrey Edwards – “No, not at all.”
Washington – “It’s actually the opposite, right? Where there is going to be more podcast content coming from All Elite Wrestling. Don’t fret. There is more and more content. And it’s like content that we’ve all talked about for years and stuff that fans have really been asking for.”
Edwards – “It’s exciting stuff. It’s exciting stuff. The little bit that I’ve heard is pretty great.”
Edwards also gave her thoughts about her and Tony Schiavone being the original hosts for the podcast when it first launched and gave her thanks to Schiavone for giving her the chance to be part of the show.
“I am so grateful for this time. I texted Tony Schiavone last night and I just said, ‘Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be a podcast host for six years.’ Which is never something I expected. Like, I didn’t even expect to be in this business. My dream was never to be a referee. I didn’t start watching wrestling until like 2012. And the fact that I got to do this every week, I’m just so grateful. I’m just really freaking grateful, man.”
Prior to the announcement, AEW had been releasing weekly episodes for their AEW Unrestricted podcast series since its debut in February of 2020.
