Backstage Update on Josh Alexander’s Injury at 3/18 AEW Collision Slam Dunk 2026 Tapings

As noted before, Josh Alexander suffered a potential knee injury at this past Wednesday’s AEW Collision Slam Dunk 2026 tapings in Fresno, California.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that Alexander’s knee had not been checked out completly and the full extent of his injury was not known as of the time of his report.

Meltzer reported that Alexander has been dealing with knee issues for the past several years and he had been aware that it would need to be addressed at some point.

In a follow-up report, Meltzer reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that the severity of Alexander’s knee injury is still not known as of Friday.

Meltzer reported that Alexander had been dealing with wear and tear issues on his knee and the best case scenario is that he does not need surgery to repair it.
