As noted before, Monday’s WWE RAW show at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York featured Gunther making a surprise appearance and attacked Seth Rollins leading to a match between the two being made official for this April’s WrestleMania 42 event.
The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that his sources stated that the reason for the Gunther vs. Rollins match being made for WrestleMania was not due to Bron Breakker not being medically cleared in time. Instead, this match reportedly was just WWE officials updated plan for Gunther and Rollins regardless of Breakker’s injury situation.
In a follow-up report, Meltzer reported that those spoken to stated that there were multiple other ideas discussed within WWE for Rollins and Gunther since Breakker’s injury.
