Christian Cage & Adam Copeland vs. FTR for AEW World Tag Titles Set for AEW Dynasty 2026

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Fresno, California featured one new match announced for the card of Dynasty 2026, which takes place on April 12th at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Colombia, Canada.

This new match announced was an AEW World Tag Team Championship match of Cage & Cope (Christian Cage & Adam Copeland) vs. FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) (c).

This new match was initially setup over recent months shows over Copeland & Christian’s bad blood issues with FTR over FTR’s betrayal of Copeland and attack on his wife Beth Phoenix. During tonight’s show, The Young Bucks gave a promo after their Trios victory with Jungle Jack Perry over the Don Callis Family. The Young Bucks talked about their loss to FTR at Revolution and how they felt embarrassed over letting their families and parents down. After some more words, Copeland’s and Cage’s music played to interrupt and the two made their way to the ring. Copeland talked about his issues with FTR over what they did to his wife and revealed that at Dynasty, it will be him and Cage facing FTR for the AEW World Tag titles. Cage responded about how its personal for him since wining the titles means he gets to make a ton of extra money and get the chance to prove that they are not only the best tag team of their generation, they also get to prove they are the best of the Young Bucks’ generation. This led to FTR and Stokely Hathaway coming out and after a failed attempt by Hathaway to get a response, FTR brawled with the Young Bucks, Copeland, & Cage only to get laid out. Copeland, Cage, and the Young Bucks then grabbed the titles leading to the Young Bucks letting go and Copeland and Cage holding it as the show went to a close.
