This new match was setup following Sunday’s AEW Revolution 2026 post-show media scrum involving Kidd showing up to interrupt and gave an obscenity-laced promo disparaging NJPW, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Allin. Kidd told AEW CEO Tony Khan that he wanted Allin in an unsanctioned coffin match at this Wednesday’s show since this would be the only way to end the things between the two. Khan agreed to Kidd’s request making the match official.
Current card for March 18th AEW Dynamite show:
- Coffin match – Darby Allin vs. Gabe Kidd
- No Holds Barred match – “Timeless” Toni Storm vs. Marina Shafir
