Jade Cargill & Rhea Ripley Engaged In Online Feud That Turned Heated Over Cargill’s Claims Ripley Politics To Get Her Pushes, Others Join In & Cargill Reportedly Dealing with Backstage Heat

WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill and Rhea Ripley recently got involved in an online feud that was initially meant to help build their storyline feud for their title match at WrestleMania 42. This online feud quickly became very heated and led to online speculation that it had turned into a “shoot” instead after claims made by Cargill about Ripley’s big star status in WWE.

After some initial in-character back-and-forth responses to each other, Cargill claimed that Ripley talks to WWE’s creative for hours implying that Ripley politics her way into getting big pushes and star status in the Women’s division in WWE.

This led to Ripley responding back stating that everything Cargill says was “bullshit” and lies before calling her a “dumb b.”

Cargill responded back mocking Ripley and stated she was just another victim and “will you girls lighten up and stop crying” implying others have also been upset at Cargill’s social media antics in WWE.

After another post by Cargill, Ripley responded back posting two videos about how Cargill had stated in the past that Ripley was one of the people she wanted to face the most in WWE.

Cargill responded back with another accusation claiming that WWE’s social media team found those videos for Ripley and WWE always trying to find a way to keep Ripley on top when it comes to WrestleMania season in recent years.

Chelsea Green then got involved stating that Ripley is proof that you can be kind, respectful and the most talented wrestler in the world in response to why Ripley has gotten a title match at WrestleMania for seven years in a row.

This led to Cargill responding back insulting Green thinking she was talking negative about her and picking sides.

After some back-and-forth tweets between Green and Cargill, Piper Niven got involved and told Cargill that Green wasn’t even responding to her for the initial tweet and not everything revolves around her. Niven also stated that there was no need for anyone to embarrass Cargill on Twitter since she does that enough whenever she has to wrestle when given enough time to do so.

That led to some back-and-forth tweets between Niven and Cargill over Cargill wanting to get Niven in the ring against her and Niven claiming that Cargill takes too many vacation breaks in WWE and Cargill doesn’t know what loyalty means.

In a now deleted post on Instagram that was also shared by Ripley’s husband and AEW talent Buddy Matthews, Ripley made it clear that what Cargill was saying about her was not some sort of “worked” feud and she was genuinely upset at the accusations that were made against her.

“Not having fun. Not friends. Learn to work and never lie to defame someone’s real human character by ‘breaking the 4th wall.”

In regards to if the Ripley and Cargill social media feud was a “work” or a “shoot”, Bodyslam.net’s Cory Hayes reported that his sources confirmed that it was a legit incident between the two and something that was never meant to be an elaborate work for their storyline feud.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that their sources described Cargill as being “not everyone’s favorite talent” when it comes to her peers backstage and stated that she has been dealing with actual heat backstage.

It was reported that Cargill’s presentation as a star and being put in some major spots in WWE could have rubbed some members of the women’s locker room the wrong way given how Cargill’s ability may not match up to that status being given to her. It was also reported that talent backstage have noticed the trend of wrestlers being injuries during matches with her, Michin, B-Fab, and Tiffany Stratton being the most recent examples. This issue reportedly has been a talking point within the locker room.

Dave Meltzer reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that his sources spoken to claimed the opposite and instead this is meant to be an elaborate work designed to make people think that its authentic in terms of heat. Meltzer reported that those spoken to stated that the inclusion of Green and Niven is meant to make it feel more authentic. Meltzer also reported that some of the negative stuff that was said about Cargill was based on actual backstage issues and drama others have had with Cargill in WWE.
