Prior to the match announcement, MJF had called out Nemeth on Thursday on Twitter over his issues with Nemeth “trashing me through veiled ‘advice’ and ‘notes’ during Nemeth’s recent appearances on the Busted Open Radio podcast. Nemeth and MJF have been involved in an online feud with each other sine this past January.
“I’ve been listening to @NicTNemeth trashing me through veiled “advice” and “notes” on busted open for months when in reality he’s just shitting on me out of jealousy. This dude actually said I remind him of a younger Dolph Ziggler. lol. I don’t remember ever being an overhyped mid carder. This dude is delusional. This dude is jealous. And most importantly this dude should keep my name out of his fucking mouth. I’m the most complete professional wrestler in the world. you couldn’t lace my boots or carry my mic. Say my name again on your little show and I’ll beat the fucking shit out of you. You know where to find me. In the meantime I’m gonna focus on my world title defense against “The God” Kenny Omega at Dynasty. Cuz I only face the best of the best. Lmk when the spirit squad guy belongs in that conversation.”

Billie Starkz Comments on ROH Studio Tapings & Changes Are “Baby Steps To Make The Product Better”
Fightful held a recent interview with AEW and Ring of Honor talent Billie Starkz. One of the topics discussed included Starkz’s thoughts about ROH moving their ROH TV tapings from after AEW television shows to now having set studio tapings.
“It’s been a great experience so far. Having it truly focused on ROH and our roster has been so helpful for everyone who needed that extra minute and extra time to figure out our lives through ROH.
Starkz also gave her thoughts about if the approach differs being in front of the same crowd every month as opposed to a different crowd every week.
“For someone like me, who has been able to be in front of so many different crowds, it doesn’t bother. I do feel the atmosphere shift because it is a different type of crowd than you would get after Dynamite or Collision. These crowds showed up just for ROH, and they’ve been here for a couple of weeks, so we can’t be predictable and give them something we gave them last week. We have to give them something new, and having this time in Jacksonville where it’s just about ROH is giving us that time to do that.”
Starkz also gave her thoughts about the changes ROH made to their studio set from the first set of tapings to the second set.
“It was very noticeable. I was getting off the bus with somebody and we both had that moment of, ‘Oh, this has changed so much.’ It’s taken baby steps to get there, but all these little baby steps are adding up to make the product so much better.”
