Gunther Reportedly Still Expected For “Substantial Role” At WrestleMania 42

As noted before, Gunther’s status for this April’s WrestleMania 42 event in Las Vegas, Nevada was believed to be uncertain due to WWE had planned for him to face off against Rey Mysterio in a match prior to Mysterio suffering a rib injury.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Gunther is currently expected to have a “significant role” at this April’s WrestleMania 42 event despite his recent abscense.

One source spoken to reportedly stated that having Gunther miss WrestleMania wouldn’t benefit anyone involved.

No other details were given regarding Gunther’s involvement nor potential opponent if Mysterio is not cleared to compete in time for the event.

Kill Tony: WrestleMania Set To Air on Netflix on April 20th

WWE announced that their upcoming Kill Tony: WrestleMania comedy show with Tony Hinchcliffe will be airing on Netflix on April 20th.

This will be two days after the show takes place live on Sunday, April 18th at the Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Andrade El Idolo Comments on Kendal Grey Using His Signature Move in WWE

AEW talent Andrade El Idolo recently responded to fans on Twitter about Kendal Grey using his signature spinning elbow strike move on Lainey Reid during her tag team match with Wren Sinclair against Fatal Influence at this past Tuesday’s WWE NXT show.

In response to a fan who brought up Grey’s move being a tribute to Andrade, Andrade responded back saying “Who?”

This led to some online backlash and critisms from fans over Andrade’s comment about Grey.

In a follow-up tweet, Andrade clarified that he generally wasn’t aware of Grey but praised her saying that he belies she has a bright future after learning of her.

“Hahaha! I asked who she was because, honestly, I didn’t know—but now I do, and it’s thanks to you guys! 🤣 She definitely has a future in this business. Good luck! 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼”

Andrade also gave his thoughts about Grey’s performance of his signature move stating:

“The first few times, my elbow strike wasn’t the best; with time, I improved it. It’s not bad, but by practicing it, she’ll make it great!!”
