This past Monday’s WWE RAW show in Boston, Massachusetts featured LA Knight making an appearance and interfereing during the tag team match of The Vision (Austin Theory & Logan Paul) vs. The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso). Kelani Jordan Comments on Her Not Feeling She Needs to Win NXT Women’s Title Before Main Roster Call-up

A recent episode of the Busted Open Radio podcast featured NXT talent Kelani Jordan as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Jordan’s thoughts about if she needs to win the NXT Women’s Championship before she gets called up to WWE’s main roster.

“I think you can jump over that championship, because we’ve seen girls do it before. Becky (Lynch) was in NXT, she didn’t win the championship, actually when she came back is when she got the championship. “There’s also other superstars, like greats, who never won the NXT Women’s Championship, and they’re prospering and thriving on the main roster.”

Jordan also gave her thoughts about if she were to be called up to the main roster, her current plans would be to target the WWE Women’s United States and WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championships.

“I would love to go to the main roster, I would love to be able to be on a bigger platform- but also be able to wrestle girls who are on that next level. I would love that, Raw, SmackDown, I’m ready. Of course, if the NXT Women’s Championship is in my future, that’s great, but if the main roster is next, I have my eyes on the US Championship, the Intercontinental (Championship).”

Update on WWE Offering Thunder Rosa A Referee Contract in 2019

As noted before, AEW talent Thunder Rosa revealed in a recent interview with Real 92.3 LA that WWE had offered her a contract in 2019 for $60,000 per year for her to retire from her in-ring career and become a referee for their company.

Bryan Alvarez reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Live that his sources clarified WWE’s offer to Rosa for a referee job in their company.

Alvarez reported that his sources confirmed that WWE had offered her a tryout to be a referee and she would have been paid $60,000 per year is she had passed the tryout.

Alvarez also reported that Rosa would have been starting in NXT had she taken the offer. Alvarez also reported that the starting contract for wrestlers in WWE in their NXT brand was around $70,000 per year in 2019. This amount reportedly did not include any deductions for travel expenses since WWE covered it for NXT shows held outside of the Performance Center unlike with main roster talent who have to pay for their own hotel and transportation for shows.

Alvarez also reported that Rosa did agree to do the tryout but then several issues arose involving first weather-related and later the COVID pandemic hitting caused her to never have the tryout in the end.
