WWE Reportedly Changed Original Creative Plans for Roman Reigns & CM Punk Promo Segment on March 16th WWE RAW Show

Monday’s WWE RAW show in San Antonio, Texas featured a show closing promo segment involving Roman Reigns and WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk.

BodySlam+ reported that their sources stated that WWE officials originally had different creative plans for the show closing segment between Reigns and Punk.

It was reported that instead of Reigns calling Punk “old” for the ending portion, Reigns was originally planned to bring up Punk’s late dog Larry in a “darker response” to lead to Punk striking Reigns to end the segment. This would have been in retaliation to Punk’s comments about Reign’s late father Sika Anoa’i at a show a few weeks earlier.

It is currently not known why WWE changed creative directions for the segment but it is speculated to likely be do to a lot of people on social media anticipated Reigns to bring up Larry after Punk had brought up Reigns’ late father.
