Steve Austin on His Status for March 16th WWE RAW Show
Tonight’s WWE RAW show is scheduled to be taking place in San Antiono, Texas. This week’s show is notable for taking place in WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin’s home state of Texas and on “3:16 Day” which is based on Austin’s iconic “Austin 3:16” catchphrase.
WrestleVotes had reported that their sources stated that WWE officials had been hopeful that Austin would make a potential appearance on the show.
Austin’s potential appearance for the show appears to not be the case based on a recent interview he had with Sports Illustrated’s The Takedown on SI due to schedule related issues.
“Man, they should tune in because they love WWE and Monday Night Raw. I’ll be a few days out from that race, the race I’m talking about with my racing career, and we’re trying to get that car ready and we’re working our asses off. So, yeah, I’ll be hunkered down in a garage out here in BFE, Nevada trying to get this buggy ready — side-by-side utility vehicle — to race this grueling 250 mile race with everybody else that I race with. So I want to get out there and put my own show on in the desert.”
