AEW: Will Ospreay & Alex Windsor Getting Married This June, MJF Says He’s Pitched a Wednesday Night Wars Documentary to Tony Khan, Mascara Dorada on Which AEW Star He’d Like To Face Off Against In The Future

Will Ospreay & Alex Windsor Getting Married This June

As noted before, Will Ospreay got engaged to his finance and AEW talent Alex Windsor this past June.

Tokyo Sports held a recent interview with Ospreay. One of the topics discussed included Ospreay revealing that he will be getting married to Windsor this June.

“I can’t appear at Osaka-jo Hall (June 14th) because my wedding (my wife is female wrestler Alex Windsor) is the day after the event, but I want to participate in as many big New Japan matches as possible this year. AEW is the best environment, but I have a special feeling for Japan, and I also want to spend more time with the members of United Empire (UE).”

MJF Says He’s Pitched a Wednesday Night Wars Documentary to Tony Khan

A recent episode of the Late Night Grin podcast featured AEW World Champion MJF as the guest. One of the topics discussed included MJF’s thoughts about how he had pitched to AEW CEO Tony Khan the idea of AEW producing a Wednesday Night Wars documentary.

“I do think we drop the ball in my company, and I’ve said this to Tony, ‘We should do a Wednesday Night Wars’ documentary. We literally won, and we have guys who work in our company now who were on the other side. It’d be fucking sick. You can sit down (Adam) Cole, Roddy (Strong), Kyle (O’Reilly), Swerve (Strickland), all these guys that were on the other side of the war. You can’t sit down Bobby Fish, unfortunately. Folks, where is the lie?”

MJF also gave his thoughts about the origin of his “I’m better than you, and you know it” catchphrase.

“So let me tell you a story. I remember I’m 18 years old standing in front of the mirror. I’m like, all right, motherfucker, you’re the already best talker in the business, but you need a catchphrase. We got to figure this out, and it came to me. I swear it came to me like God whispered in my ear. My name is Maxwell Jacob Freeman and I’m better than you and you know it, and I got chills the second I said it in front of the mirror. Three years go by. Dodgeball was one of my favorite movies growing up. But you know, Jesus Christ, there’s so many iconic lines in that film, and I watched it. ‘Here at Globo Gym, we’re better than you, and we know it,’ and the second he said it, I went, ‘Oh fuck. I’m not creative at all.’ There’s this weird thing. It happens with standup comedians too, where they’ll say a joke fully thinking it’s their joke, and it turns out it’s from somebody else’s set that they watched a fucking decade ago. Right? So I do think that’s what happened with the Dodgeball deal.”

Mascara Dorada Comments on Which AEW Star He’d Like To Face Off Against In The Future

Instinct Culture’s Denise Salcedo held a recent interview with CMLL and AEW talent Mascara Dorada. One of the topics discussed included Dorada’s thoughts about who he would like to face off against in a match from AEW in the future.

“I’ve already had the chance to face wrestlers I’ve wanted to face, like Kenny Omega. I was in a four-way match against Kenny Omega, Claudio Castagnoli, and Brody King, and that’s something very, very important to me, because he’s a wrestler I’ve looked up to for a long time. I also wanted to face Bandido; I’ve already had that chance, but if we’re talking about wrestlers I haven’t faced yet, I think I’d have to go with Will Ospreay.

He’s a very well-rounded wrestler, every time he steps into the ring, it’s a five-star match, no matter who he’s facing. He’s a very imposing wrestler, very strong, and very agile. PAC is a wrestler who’s also incredibly strong. He’s a very, very daring wrestler; he has some beautiful dives. These are wrestlers from whom I want to absorb a little bit of experience because they’re the best in the world, right? To be among the best in the world, you have to face the best in the world.”
