Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada featured the first match set for Double or Nothing 2026, which takes place on May 24th at the Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York.
This new match announced was an AEW International Championship match of Konosuke Takeshita vs. Kazuchika Okada (c).
This new match was setup following a backstage interview segment involving Don Callis, Takeshita, Okada, and the rest of the Don Callis Family. During his interview, Callis announced that Takeshita and Okada would be teaming up together to face off against The Young Bucks at AEW’s Dynasty event on Sunday, April 12th. Takeshita was not happy over the announcement and wanted Okada’s International title instead. Callis responded that he will give Takeshita the match for Okada’s title at Double or Nothing as long as he agrees to work with Okada against the Young Bucks first.
