Mercedes Mone recently released a new issue of her Mone Mag fan newsletter.
In the newsletter, Mone announced that she has officially vacated her APAC Women’s Championship due to budget and other-related issues involving APAC Wrestling that were not able to be resolved between her team and the promotion.
“A Tough Decision
While I was in London, I had to make a tough call.
I sent the Malaysia Championship back.
My team and I really tried to make things work—we put in the effort, had the conversations, and explored every option. But at the end of the day, they told us they didn’t have the budget to fly me out and weren’t open to working with other promotions.
For me?
That just didn’t align with the vision.
So I made the decision to vacate the title.
And look—this business isn’t always easy. Not every partnership works out the way you hope. But I’ve learned to stand firm in my worth, my time, and what I bring to the table.
Every title I hold means something.
Every move I make has purpose.
So even though it wasn’t easy, it was necessary.
Because growth sometimes means letting go.
Trust me…
I’m always moving forward.”
As a result of her vacating the title, Mone is now down to just one women’s championship that she currently holds that is not an active title. This remaining title belt is the AEW Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Championship (2025).
At her peak, Mercedes had held 13 women’s championships at the same time for her belt collector gimmick. These were the AEW TBS Championship, AEW Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Championship (2025), Interim ROH Women’s World Television Championship, RevoPro Undisputed British Women’s Championship, Queen of Southside Championship, CMLL World Women’s Championship, European Wrestling Association Women’s Championship, PTW Women’s Championship, BestYa Wrestling Women’s Championship, Discovery Wrestling Scottish Women’s Championship, Bodyslam Women’s Championship, Winnipeg Pro Wrestling Women’s Championship, and APAC Women’s Championship.
