As noted before, TNA Wrestling recently changed their policy no longer allowing contracted TNA talents to work on the same indies shows as AEW talents, specifically in regards to matches involving TNA talents competing against contracted AEW talents. TNA released an official statement confirming the new policy and they had pulled their talents due to “partner conflicts.” Several matches were revealed to have been recently pulled by TNA President Carlos Silva due to this new policy.
A recent episode of the Busted Open Radio podcast featured AEW World Champion MJF as the guest. One of the topics discussed included MJF expanding on his recent comments calling out both TNA and TNA President Carlos Silva over their new restrictive policy for their talents indies bookings. MJF also took issue with TNA “barely paying” their talents any money and taking money making opportunities away from them.
“Let’s talk about TNA and the fact that they are pulling young talent off the shows when they are barely paying them any money whatsoever and telling them, ‘Hey, you can’t wrestle because there is a guy from another promotion that is wrestling on this show.’ Does that help young talent grow? Does that help young talent become better inside the squared circle? More over, does that help young talent put food on their plate and table so they can eat? What Carlos Silva is doing is disgusting. If anybody supports him or that company at this point, it is very hard for me to wrap my head around.”
