Nattie Says She Handpicked Shayna Baszler To Be Her Opponent At GCW Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XV
Nattie is currently scheduled to be facing off against former WWE talent Shayna Baszler in a singles match at Game Changer Wrestling’s upcoming Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XV event on April 17th in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Toronto Sun held a recent interview with Nattie. One of the topics discussed included Nattie’s thoughts about how she had handpicked Baszler to be her opponent at the upcoming Bloodsport XV event.
“Bloodsport is really special to me because that’s where Nattie was born. But, I also understand that this year at Bloodsport, it’s a place where I have lobbied to wrestle Shayna Baszler. I fought to wrestle Shayna Baszler. I campaigned to fight Shayna Baszler. I’ve been in the WWE locker room, this is my 19th year in a WWE locker room and I can say this with complete confidence — there is no other woman that I have ever shared a locker room with that is as dangerous as Shayna. She is a woman that men and women fear because when she says that she is a submission magician, she’s not lying. She is a pioneer in women’s MMA. She’s from the snake pit. She trained under Billy Robinson, she trained under Josh Barnett. When you think about the dungeon versus the snake pit, that’s what I’m going up against, Shayna Baszler from the snake pit. She’s somebody that when you look at Ronda Rousey, there might not have been a Ronda Rousey, she may have never wanted to do this if she hadn’t been inspired by a Shayna Baszler. A lot of Ronda, a lot of women in MMA that have done well, they wouldn’t have had that road paved for them if it wasn’t for Shayna Baszler. I campaigned to fight the most dangerous woman that I’ve ever worked with in a WWE locker room and I wanted Shayna. I handpicked Shayna because she’s going to bring out the very best in me, but I also need somebody that’s going to push me to my limits. I need somebody that’s going to get in my face. I understand the stakes are high because if this doesn’t go well, this could be the end of Nattie. This could be the end of me. I have to win because again, like a year ago, this is where Nattie was born. If I don’t win, this is where Nattie will die.”

Lady Frost Comments on Her Plans for Her MLW Career
As noted before, Lady Frost’s contract with AEW and Ring of Honor expired at the end of this past March and recently signed an official contract with Major League Wrestling.
Fightful held a recent interview with Lady Frost. One of the topics discussed included Frost’s thoughts about her current plans for her MLW career.
“I think there’s a lot of women around the world. Hopefully that I get to travel more. I know that MLW has a working relationship with the girls from Japan. I know Shotzi is the champ right now. So obviously my target’s huge. I don’t want to start low. I’m going to right for the top, calling her out. We’ve never wrestled. We’ve been in independent locker rooms together actually years and years ago. So I think that will be interesting.”

DIA (Dragon Dia) Clarifies His Dragongate Departure Situation
As noted before, Dragongate talent DIA, also known as Dragon Dia, recently announced on Twitter that he will be leaving the company at the end of this past March and will be taking a small break from wrestling.
DIA provided an update earlier today on Twitter clarifying his departure from Dragongate and the situation that led to him leaving.
“To Everyone
Regarding this matter, since there has been an announcement from the agency as well, I would like to provide some additional clarification to avoid any misunderstandings.
First, regarding discussions about my departure from the group, we have held multiple direct meetings since last autumn. During those discussions, there were talks about the conditions associated with the departure (such as penalties or activity restrictions), and since the content was difficult to assess based on my own knowledge alone, I consulted with experts and have since been proceeding with negotiations through my representative.
Additionally, regarding my intention to depart, as well as the timing and content of the announcement, these were communicated in advance to the other party’s representative through my representative before proceeding.
All of these were measures to advance the discussions in a more appropriate and calm manner, and were decisions aimed at achieving a smooth resolution.
As negotiations are still ongoing, the details I can share are limited, but I will continue to approach this with sincerity moving forward.
On my end, I intended to make the departure announcement without touching on any aspects of the negotiations with the agency. However, since the agency’s announcement includes descriptions of the circumstances, I am reluctantly providing this supplement.
I would appreciate your continued support and understanding.”
