Opening Matches Confirmed For Both Nights Of WrestleMania 42

Monday’s WWE RAW show at the Golden 1 Center in San Jose, California featured WWE officially confirming the opening matches for both nights of WrestleMania 42, which takes place on April 18-19 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

It was announced that the Six-Man Tag Team match of LA Knight & The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) vs. IShowSpeed & The Vision (Austin Theory & Logan Paul) will officially be the opening match of Night 1 on April 18th and will air on ESPN2.

It was also announced that the singles match of Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar will officially be the opening match of Night 2 on April 19th and will air on ESPN.

Gunther Explains His Reason Why He Wanted Seth Rollins for WrestleMania 42 Match

Monday’s WWE RAW show also featured Gunther explaining his reasons why he has been helping out Paul Heyman and wanted a match against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 42.

During the show, Gunther came out to the ring and after a lot of basking in the booing by the crowd and posing, Rollins ran out and attacked Gunther before he could say anything. This led to Gunther escaping out of the ring and Rollins grabbing a microphone. After some words by Rollins, he asked Gunther if this really was personal for Gunther as he claimed and not just him seeking a favor from Paul Heyman, he should return to the ring and tell him why he wanted this match at WrestleMania.

Gunther grabbed a microphone and went back into the ring and confronted Rollins right up into his face. Gunther stated he was indeed solving Heyman’s problem but he was also doing it with a smile on his face because Rollins was pissing him off. Gunther continued stating Rollins strutted around like he was the best in the ring but he wasn’t. Gunther claimed he was and Rollins never wanted to find that out while he was WWE World Champion seeking out the best competition. Gunther stated that instead Rollins became a useful idiot for Heyman and WrestleMania was personal for him because he wanted to expose that Rollins could not lace his boots. This led to Rollins and Gunther brawling that ended with Rollins attempting to curb stomp Gunther’s head onto the steel steps only for Gunther to escape through the crowd.
