El Grande Americano Wins Mask vs. Mask Match, Original El Grande Americano Unmasks Revealing To Be Chad Gable at AAA Noche de Los Grandes 2026 Week 1 Show

Saturday’s AAA Noche de Los Grandes 2026 Week 1 show at the Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico featured El Grande Americano defeating Original El Grande Americano in a Lucha de Apuestas, Mask vs. Mask match.

During the match, Original confronted blind comedian Ojitos de Huevo who was seated in the front row and attempted to attack him only to get whacked by Huevo’s cane instead. After some more action, Original got back into the ring and was confronted by a mystery masked person who laid him out with a guitar shot. This mystery person took off the mask revealing himself to be Pimpinela Escarlata and getting payback for Original’s attack on him months ago.

After some more action, Original was choking El Grande with a bullrope on the ropes leading to AAA interviewer Andrea Bazarte came out from the crowd and cheered on El Grande for support from the front row. This led to Original leaving the ring and confronting Bazarte yelling at her for being here after he got her fired from AAA. Bazarte pulled out a ticket revealing she paid for a seat to be at the show. This led to El Grande attacking Original at ringside and continued their brawl back into the ring.

Following El Grande’s victory over Original, Original was required to unmask and revealed his real name as per the match stipulation. Original took off his mask and stated that his name is Chad Gable, which is his WWE ring name and not his actual real name. Gable stated that he was born on March 6, 1986 in St. Michael, Minnesota. Gable continued his speech saying that he will always be the Original El Grande Americano but from now on, the real one is El Grande. After some more words, Gable stated that he hopes to be back in AAA one day.
