Ludwig Kaiser (El Grande Americano) Battery Arrest in Florida Update – AAA Announces Cancellation of Kaiser’s Appearance for 5/21 Show

As noted before, WWE and AAA talent Ludwig Kaiser, also known as El Grande Americano and real name Marcel Barthel, was arrested on charges of battery on Wednesday following an altercation with a man in Orange County, Florida. This incident was later revealed to have been caused after Kaiser and a female were acting “uncontrollably intimate” in an elevator and Kaiser attacked the man in response after being told to “please have some manners.”

Lucha Libre AAA announced on Instagram that they have cancelled a special appearance by El Grande Americano and event that was scheduled to take place tonight in Mexico City, Mexico.

“The ‘Serenata for El Grande Americano’ event scheduled for tonight in Mexico City has been canceled.

Kaiser’s status for his scheduled Mask vs. Mask match against Original El Grande Americano at AAA’s Noche de Los Grandes 2026 event on May 30th in Monterrey is currently not known.
