Sol Ruca vs. Becky Lynch for WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title and Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar Matches Set for Clash In Italy

Saturday’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show in Fort Wayne, Indiana featured two new matches announced for the card of Clash in Italy, which takes place on May 31st at the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy.

The first new match announced was a WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship match of Sol Ruca vs. Becky Lynch (c).

This new match was initially setup over recent weeks shows over Ruca and Lynch’s bad blood issues. During tonight’s show, Lynch shoved referee Jessika Carr into the way of Ruca’s Sol Snatcher during their match resulting in the bell being called and Ruca being given the DQ victory. Following the match, Lynch attacked Ruca that ended with her laying out Ruca with a Manhandle Slam.

In a follow-up segment, Lynch was seen walking backstage only to be confronted by SmackDown GM Nick Aldis. Aldis informed Lynch that as a result of what she did, both him and RAW GM Adam Pearce agreed that Lynch will now be defending her title against Ruca at Clash in Italy. This led to an upset reaction by Lynch over the news.

The second new match announced was a singles match of Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar.

This new match was initially setup over this past week’s WWE RAW show over Lesnar’s surprise return and attack on Femi after originally teasing his retirement at WrestleMania 42 and Paul Heyman having a contract for a rematch that Lesnar had already signed when confronted by RAW GM Adam Pearce. During tonight’s show, it was announced that this match was made official for Clash in Italy.
