Eric Young Wins Battle Royal for TNA World Title Shot

Thursday’s live TNA Impact! show at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium in Sacramento, California featured Eric Young winning a #1 Contender’s Battle Royal match for the TNA World Championship.

The competitors in this match were Young, Elijah, Mustafa Saed, Agent Zero, Dutch, EC3, Mr. Elegance, Brian Myers, John Skyler, Vincent, Jason Hotch, The Hometown Man, Frankie Kazarian, Eddie Edwards, and Bear Bronson.

As a result of his victory, Young will be facing off against Mike Santana for the TNA World Championship at a future show.


Mustafa Saed Makes Surprise Appearance

Thursday’s live TNA Impact! show also featured former ECW wrestler and former Gangstas member Mustafa Saed making a surprise appearance.

Saed was one of the competitors for the TNA World Championship #1 Contender Battle Royal match on the show.


Steve Maclin Announced To Be Medically Cleared To Compete

Thursday’s live TNA Impact! show also featured the announcement of Steve Maclin being medically cleared from his head injury.

During the show, TNA World Champion Mike Santana came out to the ring and talked about Eric Young being his next challenger for his title. This led to TNA Suit Daria Rae coming out and informed Santana that Young wasn’t the actual next challenger for him and instead stated that Maclin is still owed a rematch. Rae then announced that Maclin has been medically cleared for in-ring action and will be facing off against Santana for the title at next week’s show.

This will be Maclin’s first appearance since this past March’s TNA Sacrifice 2026 event due to a head-related injury.


Santino Marella Makes Surprise Return & Announces Indi Hartwell Re-Signs with TNA

Thursday’s live TNA Impact! show also featured TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella making a surprise return from his storyline suspension.

During the promo segment between TNA World Champion Mike Santana and TNA Suit Daria Rae, Marella’s music played to interrupt and came out to the stage. Marella stated that he had some announcements of his own to make. The first being the announcement of Indi Hartwell recently signed a new contract with TNA to remain in the company. That turned out to be the only announcement Marella actually made.

Marella then talked about his issues with his daughter Arianna Grace’s boyfriend Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo and how he doesn’t want to say the bad language but it is tough for him. This led to some back-and-forth banter between Marella and Rae that ended with Santana stating this was terrible and accepted the challenge for his match against Maclin for his title at next week’s show.


Ultimate X Match for TNA X-Division Title Announced for Slammiversary 2026

Thursday’s live TNA Impact! show also featured the first official match announced for the card of Slammiversary 2026, which takes place on June 28th at Agganis Arena in Boston, Massachusetts.

This new match announced was a TNA X-Division Championship Ultimate X match of TBAs vs. Leon Slater (c).

Cedric Alexander Wins TNA X-Division Title

Thursday’s live TNA Impact! show also featured Cedric Alexander defeating Leon Slater in a 2-out-of-3-Falls match to become the new TNA X-Division Champion.

This was Alexander’s first ever TNA X-Division Championship and also his first ever championship victory in his TNA career.

As a result of his title loss, Slater will remain tied with Austin Aires for the longest ever TNA X-Division Championship reign in TNA history at 298 days.


Fabian Aichner Makes Surprise Appearance

Thursday’s live TNA Impact! show also featured Fabian Aichner, former Giovanni Vinci in WWE, making his surprise debut appearance in TNA Wrestling.

Following Cedric Alexander’s victory over Leon Slater in a 2-out-of-3 Falls match, Alexander’s celebration was interrupted by the lights going off and when it came back on, Aichner’s music played and came out to the stage to confront Alexander.
