Nikki Blackheart Competes in Dark Match Prior to May 19th WWE NXT Show & New Ring Name Revealed

WWE held three dark matches prior to the start of Tuesday’s WWE NXT show at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

One of the matches included a dark match of Nikki Blackheart vs. Skylar Rae.

This match was notable for Blackheart going by the new ring name of Martinez going forward in WWE.

This match was Blackheart’s official in-ring debut in her WWE career.

Alexa Bliss, LA Knight, IYO SKY, & More Attended Bianca Belair and Montez Ford’s Baby Shower

As noted before, this past April’s WWE’s WrestleMania 42 Night 1 event featured Bianca Belair making a surprise appearance and officially announcing her pregnancy.

PEOPLE reported that Belair and Montez Ford held a baby shower party on May 16th to celebrate the upcoming birth of their new child.

It was reported that Alexa Bliss, IYO SKY, LA Knight, Damian Priest, Liv Morgan, Nia Jax, Ivy Nile, Shayna Baszler, Mia Yim, and Lash Legend were among those from WWE who had attended the party.

In an interview with the outlet, Belair gave her thoughts about her and Ford’s decision to hold their baby shower more like a regular party than as a traditional baby shower.

“We wanted it to be more of a party/celebration than a traditional baby shower because traditional baby showers can be a little low-key and monotonous. We wanted all of our friends to just have fun, let loose and celebrate with us!”

Danhausen Reportedly Praised at WWE Town Hall Meeting

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that WWE held an all-staff town hall meeting at their headquarters on Tuesday.

Johnson reported that those spoken to stated that one of the topics discussed at the meeting included WWE President Nick Khan and WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque giving their praise of Danhausen.

Johnson also reported that Khan and Levesque showed videos of Danhausen and brought up how quickly he has connected with the audience since his arrival to WWE.

Khan and Levesque also praised Danhausen for becoming the #2 merchandise seller in WWE in just over two months since joining the company.
