DarkState Explains Reason For Kicking Out Saquon Shugars From Group

Tuesday’s WWE NXT show at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida featured DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, & Orisis Griffin) explaining their reasons why they attacked Saquon Shugars and kicked him out of the group at last week’s show.

During the show, DarkState came out to the ring and Griffin talked about what they say has a new meaning now and how Saquon was always the odd one out since they are college athletes and he wasn’t.

Lennox responded stating that Saquon is an indie wrestler and that is it. Lennox continued stating he has street smarts and he knows his way around the ring and that is why he was the last pick. Griffin responded stating Saquon made things more difficult for the group. James responded next stating that Saquon made it easier for them last week and claimed Saquon forgot about their creed and became a liability. After some more words, James stated that Saquon failed and that means he failed DarkState.

Lennox responded stating he was shocked to see what happened last week and how that could have been him. Lennox stated he knew the play when they went after Saquon and that was to cut out the weak link. After some more insults directed at Saquon and boasting about how John Cena picked him for the Iron Survivor challenge and Robert Stone picked him for the gauntlet match, he stated that he arned it and Saquon knew that. Lennox continued stating that this machine is for all of them and not just him. Lennox also stated that there is no DarkState without him and he built this bring by brick and he was not going to let Saquon destroy it.

Romeo Moreno Earns Shot at WWE Speed Men’s Title

Tuesday’s WWE NXT show also featured the start of WWE’s newest WWE Speed Men’s Championship #1 Contender tournament and two First Round matches.

The first match was Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux going to a three-minute time limit draw. As a result of the draw, both Legacy and Dux were officially eliminated as per the rules for WWE Speed tournament matches

The second match was Romeo Moreno defeating Nathan Frazer.

As a result of his victory, Moreno will be facing off against Lexis King for the WWE Speed Men’s Championship at next week’s show.

Layla Diggs Makes NXT In-Ring Debut

Tuesday’s WWE NXT show also featured WWE LFG and WWE EVOLVE talent Layla Diggs making her official in-ring debut for the NXT brand.

Diggs faced off against Jaida Parker in a singles match, which was won by Parker.

Current Card for Next Week’s WWE NXT Show

Tuesday’s WWE NXT show also featured five new matches announced for the card of next week’s show on June 2nd at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

Among the notable matches announced was a NXT Championship match of Kam Hendrix vs. Tony D’Angelo (c). This new match was initially setup during last week’s show over Hendrix getting the pinfall victory on D’Angelo for his tag team with Mason Rook against D’Angelo and Myles Borne. During tonight’s show, NXT Champion D’Angelo came out and talked about people coming after his title and called out Naraku. This led to Naraku coming out and saying he is only here to protect D’Angelo and his title. This then led to Hendrix coming out to interrupt and after some banter between him and D’Angelo, D’Angelo granted Hendrix a shot at his title at next week’s show. Hendrix then attempted to attack D’Angelo as he was leaving only to be stopped by Naraku who sent him over the ropes with a clothesline.
