WWE and wrestling “superfan” Vladimir Abouzeide reportedly was recently hospitalized in New York City, according to PWInsider.
Mike Johnson reported that Abouzeide’s sister stated that he has recently suffered a major concussion injury after he fell while walking with his sister and hit his head on the concrete floor.
Johnson reported that there was serious concern that Abouzeide might have suffered a brain bleed but he is currently believed believed to be out of imminent danger in regards to bleeding but he remains hospitalized for the foreseeable future. Johnson also reported that there is currently no timetable for his release from the hospital.
Johnson reported that Abouzeide’s fall was due to issues related to his current battle with Parkinson’s disease, which can affect the balance of those suffering from it.
Abouzeide was the subject of a documentary that was released in 2023 titled “Superfan: The Story of Vladimir” that focused on his decades long fandom in wrestling and being officially recognized by WWE in 2021 as the only official “superfan” in the company.
