Bryan Danielson In-Ring Career Future Update & Potential For One More Match
Bryan Danielson last wrestled at AEW’s WrestleDream 2024 event in October of 2024, which was his full-time in-ring retirement match. Danielson has not undergone neck surgery to repair his neck but he has been considering other options instead.
Figthtful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported in a recent Q&A article that while Danielson is about two years away from competing in his last real match, he speculated that Danielson would be able to have a good match in his sleep. Sapp also speculated that he thinks every day is sort of a rehab for Danielson.
In regards to a potential another match in the future, Sapp reported that he believes Danielson is going to be very responsible about it and not take hugely unnecessary risks. Sapp reported that Danielson has a history of concussions that had prompted him to initially retire from the ring in 2016 prior to him joining AEW.
Adam Copeland Comments on His Infamous Promo Segment with Ricky Starks
SHAK Wrestling held a recent interview with Adam Copeland. One of the topics discussed included Copeland’s thoughts about his infamous promo segment with Ricky Starks, now known as Ricky Saints in WWE, on the October 13, 2023, episode of AEW Dynamite. This promo segment was notable for Starks calling Copeland “bug-eyed,” and Copeland calling Starks a “vanilla midget” and a ripoff of The Rock in response.
“We got out there. He started, you know, cutting a promo on me, and I was like, well, I’m not in an angle with him, okay? And that was it. It’s just like a thousand promos in the Attitude Era, you know. By the next day, it’s like, okay, now what do we got? Like, I don’t care. I’m sure Ricky doesn’t. I don’t care.”
Copeland also stated that fans read too much into things and claimed the exchange him and Starks had was simply a wrestling promo. Copeland also stated that by the next day, he had moved on from it and he believes Starks had done too.
