A recent episode of the Busted Open Radio podcast featured co-host and TNA Head of Talent Relations and booker Tommy Dreammer announcing his departure from TNA Wrestling.
“Yesterday, I had a great conversation with Carlos Silva, and me and TNA are no longer in a relationship. We’ve mutually agreed to part ways.
I’ve given so much of my life to that company. I don’t have any ill will or malice. I want it to survive, and I want it to be the best it can be.
I love this business. It’s hard because I’m not going to be able to see the people that I helped. I had a lot of people help me follow my dreams, and I love that part about the business of what I did.
It was a 24-hour job. I think I had it for close to 10 years. Off and on, I’ve been in and out of there. I loved going to work. I did. But everything comes to an end.
I’m not crying because I’m mad or I’m emotional, but I know I’ll be okay, and I hope TNA will be okay.“
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Brian “Road Dogg” James has been discussed within TNA as Dreamer’s possible replacement.
The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that his sources stated that TNA officials have been in contact with Road Dogg for the past several weeks. Meltzer reported that it was not known that Road Dogg would replace Dreamer and only to join him on TNA’s creative team.
Prior to his departure, Dreamer had been with TNA since April of 2018 following prior stints in 2010 to 2011 and 2013 to 2015.
