Backstage: Kendal Grey, Wren Sinclair

Kendal asks Wren if she is coming out with her and Wren says this is Kendal’s moment.

In-Ring: Kendal Grey, Wren Sinclair, Kelani Jordan, Tatum Paxley

NXT Women’s Champion Kendal Grey makes her way to the ring.

Kendal thanks everyone.  She says she wants to be honest.  She says she is more nervous coming out here to talk to you than wrestling in the main event on Sunday.  She says talking and doing these things aren’t what she was good about.  She says she would hide under her desk when the teachers would ask her to read.  Ever since John Cena picked her to be in Iron Survivor has changed her life.  She says she heard the people and expectations and that put pressure on her, but no one puts pressure on her than herself.  

Before coming to NXT, she wasn’t used to losing.  She dominated on the mats.  She dominated in Evolve.  Coming to NXT, every time she came close to the title, she dropped the ball.  She says she had to deal with the self doubt and voices in her head asking if she could hang with the rest of the division.  This title proves that she belongs.  Kendal says she knows she might not look like your normal champion.  She sat across from Lola Vice and she was all glammed up.  She says that is what she thought a champion looks like, but that isn’t her.  She says she can’t sit in the make up chair and she wipes off the make up before she comes out.

She says she will be nervous when she talks to you and she might not sound like a champion, but she will wrestle like a champion.  She says she is ready to take this division to a new level.  She says she welcomes the target and she says she thrives under pressure.  She says it is her match, tempo, and pace.  Everyone in the locker room will soon find out that they can’t keep with Kendal.

Wren Sinclair comes out with a cake for Kendal.

Wren says that she wanted Kendal to have her moment and she deserves it.  You had a vision and it came true.  They both walked out of the Great American Bash as champions.  You talked about how they would celebrate.  A two layer cake for the two champions.

Kelani Jordan’s music interrupts and she asks if you are going to celebrate after getting opportunity after opportunity.  Kelani says that Kendal can give her the title match she deserves.  She says she was assaulted by a lunatic for speaking the truth.

Tatum Paxley shows up from the crowd and hits a cross body onto Kelani from the ringside barrier.

Kendal and Wren eat cake while this happens.

Backstage: Keanu Carver, El Hijo del Vikingo, Robert Stone

We go to the back where Keanu Carver stands over an injured El Hijo del Vikingo and Keanu says that EK doesn’t have a title match now.

Backstage: Izzi Dame, Zaria, Izzy Rain

We are back and Izzi is in the back and she says if a few things went right, she would be champion.   She tells Zaria she is going to take that title from her.

Zaria tells Izzi she sounds desperate.

Lizzy Rain is playing air guitar in the locker room and she says she is making it rain.

Backstage: Robert Stone, Kelani Jordan, Keanu Carver

Kelani complains about what happened to Stone.  

Stone says he had to cancel a title match.  He tells Kelani she faces Tatum tonight.  He also tells Keanu that he faces EK Prosper tonight.

NXT Tag Team Championship
Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. & Galeno vs. The Vanity Project (Ricky Smokes & Brad Baylor) (c)

Ricky and Galeno start things off and then Galeno pushes Ricky to the mat.  Ricky with a side head lock. Galeno with a shoulder tackle.  Brad tags in and he sends Galeno into the corner.  Wagner tags in and he punches Brad.  Brad with an Irish whip and Wagner floats over.  Wagner with a punch and then Ricky tags in.  Wagner sends Ricky into Brad and then he kicks him to the floor.  Wagner with a flip dive onto both men.  Wagner sends Ricky back into the ring and he gets a near fall.  Galeno tags in and Ricky with punches.  Galeno with a forearm and Wagner with a chop.  Galeno with a back elbow and Galeno sends Wagner onto Ricky for a near fall.  Galeno gets another near fall.

Wagner tags in and he works on the wrist and connects with a forearm.  Wagner with an Irish whip but he misses a splash into the corner.  Ricky wtih a clothesline and then Brad holds Wagner while the referee deals with Galeno.  Brad tags in and they kick Wagner in the corner.  Brad with a European uppercut and Ricky tags in and he kicks Wagner for a near fall.  Ricky with a forearm and Brad tags in.  Brea with punches.  Wanger with forearms and Brad with a knee and Irish whip.  Brad with an elbow in the corner and Ricky tags in and they hit a double belly-to-back suplex for a near fall.  Ricky knocks Galeno off the apron and he connects with an elbow to Wagner.  Ricky with a knee to the back and a knee drop.  Ricky chokes Wagner in the ropes.

Wagner with a punch and chops.  Ricky with a few chops and punches but Wagner with chops.  Ricky with a suplex and a reverse chin lock.  Wagner with a boot to Ricky and an elbow to Brad.  Wanger flips out of the corner but Ricky stops him.  Wagner with an enzigurii and Brad tags in but galeno makes the tag and connects with shoulder tackles.  Galeno with a boot to Ricky and a splash to Brad followed by clotheslines in the corner.  Galeno with a slam and he hits a splash for a near fall.  Galeno sends Ricky to the floor and Galeno goes for a double underhook but Rickyt ags in.  Galeno with a splash to Brad and he hit tosees Ricky into the ring.  Galeno with a knee and Wagner tags in.  Galeno sends Wagner into the corner wth an assisted drop kick.  Brad puts Ricky’s foot on the ropes to stop the count.  Rickyw tih a rolup for a near fall.  Brad tags ina nd he connects with a forearm.  Rickyw tiha  drop kick and BRad with a spine buster for a near fall.  

Wagner goes for a suplex but Brad gets to his feet and he punches Wagner.  They exchange punches.  Wagner with forearms and Brad with a double thrust to the throat.  Brad misses a boot and Wagner with a kick to the back of the head.  Galeno tags in and he hits a reverse suplex for a near fall.  Wagner tags in and Wagner gets on Galeno’s shoulders for a frog splash.  Galeno sends Ricky onto Wagner to break up the cover.  Galeno is sent into the ring post.  Wagner with a punch to Drake.  Ricky punches Wagner.  Ricky tags in and they hit a double stomp and reverse DDT combination for the three count.

Winner: The Vanity Project via Pinfall to retain the NXT Tag Team Championship.

Backstage: Birthright, OTM, Robert Stone, Sean Legacy, DarkState, Romeo Monroe, Noam Dar

Stone is in his office with Brith Right and OTM.

Uriah says that Vanity Project defended the title 3 times and Channing says they deserve a tag title match. 

Nima says not to worry about what he does in AAA.

Sean Legacy shows up and he says he wants a tag title match.

Cutler and Osiris show up and say they are ready to take control of the tag team division.  

Romeo and Noam Dar show up.

Stone says the tag titles should be defended more often.  There will be a Fatal Four Way match next week to determine the number one contender.

Dark State, OTM, Birth Right, Sean and Dorian get the match.

Romeo wants to know why not them.  Noam tells them they need to win some matches before getting their chance.

Jackson Drake vs. Mason Rook

Mason misses a chop and Drake kicks Mason in the leg and goes into the ropes.  Drake with another kick to the leg.  Mason blocks a kick and Mason misses a chop.  Drake with a side head lock and he cannot get Mason over on a side head lock.  Mason with a shoulder tackle and he catches Drake on a leap frog attempt and Mason with a power slam for a near fall.  Mason with a chop in the corner.  Drake with a chop and Mason with a chop of his own to send Drake to the mat and Mason gets a near fall.  Mason with a snap mare and he stretches Drake.  

Booker gets a phone call from Kam Hendrix.  Kam says he is coming back soon.  Mason tried to take him out.  He is almost cleared.

Mason with a back elbow and Drake with an elbow.  Mason goes for a slam and Drake escapes and goes for a quebrada but Mason with a Samoa Joe NOPE.  Mason with an Irish whip and splash.  Mason with another Irish whip and splash.  Mason with a clothesline and a back senton for a near fall.  Drake goes to the floor.  Mason with a hard Irish whip and he slams Drake.  Drake with a chop and Mason chops back.  Mason with more chops.  Mason with an Irish whip and a German suplex.  Mason runs into a boot in the corner and Drake with a double stomp and a running drop kick.  Drake goes up top and he hits a missile drop kick for a near fall.  Drake with a front face lock and Gator roll but Mason gets to the ropes.  Mason gets a near fall.  Drake with a drop kick and Mason falls into teh corner.  Drake with a kick and he gets Mason to the mat.  Drake with a rear chin lock and bridges.  

Drake holds on to the front face lock.  Drake with knees to the midsection and a waist lock.  Rook with a spine buster and he gets a near fall.  Mason goes for a splash but Drake gets his knees up.  Drake with a knee and a handspring cutter for a near fall.   Drake kicks Mason in the head and Mason with chops.  Mason with a back body drop and a spinning side slam.  Mason with a cannonball for a near fall.  Mason gets Drake on his shoulders but Drake goes for a sunset flip.  Mason misses a sit out splash when Mason blocks it.  Drake with a quebrada double stomp for a near fall.  Mason with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall.  Mason misses a splash when Drake moves.  Drake with a tornado DDT for a near fall.  Mason with a chop and Drake counters a power bomb with Code Red for a near fall.  Drake with a poisonrana and Mason pops up and hits a clothesline.  Mason with a sit out power bomb for a near fall.  

Mason gets Drake up and Ricky goes after Mason while Myka distracts the referee.  Mason press slams Ricky onto Brad on the floor.  Drake with a lung blower and Myka holds Mason’s foot to keep him from kicking out for the three count.

Winner: Jackson Drake via Pinfall.

After the match, Mason clotheslines Brad and hits a running back pack cannonball of Ricky into Brad.

Backstage: EK Prosper, Tate Wilder

Tate Wilders talks to EK about his match and he wanted Keanu.

EK says he was preparing for Vikingo and he has to face someone different.

Tate tells EK to get revenge on Keanu for putting you through a table.

Backstage: Robert Stone, Kali Armstrong

We are back and Stone is on the phone and Kali Armstrong enters and she asks what does she have to do to get a title match.

Stone says he cannot hand out title matches.

Kali says she knows she can run the division.

Stone tells Kali that actions speak louder than words.

EK Prosper vs. Keanu Carver

Keanu misses a clothesline and EK with a drop kick and forearms.  Keanu sends EK into the corner and he runs int a boot.  Keanu runs EK into the turnbuckles and goes for a power slam but EK gets to his feet.  Keanu with a double leg take down and punches.  Keanu pulls EK to the mat.  Keanu with an arm bar.  EK with punches and Keanu sends EK to the mat.  Keanu with an Irish whip and EK floats over and hits a drop kick.  EK drops down and Keanu goes over the top rope to the floor.  EK with a double jump drop kick to knock Keanu off the apron.  EK with a flip dive.  EK drop kicks Keanu into the apron.  EK with a tornado DDT off the apron.  EK sends Keanu back into the ring and he goes up top and hits a frog splash for a near fall.

EK punches Keanu from the turnbuckles and Keanu drops EK onto the turnbuckles.  Keanu with a German suplex.  Keanu with knees to the back.  Keanu chokes EK in the ropes.  Keanu with a hard Irish whip.  EK with punches and Keanu with an elbow to the top of the head.  Keanu with a back breaker.  Keanu with forearms and he gets a near fall.  Keanu misses an elbow drop when EK moves.  EK with punches and Kean with a German suplex.  Keanu with a rear chin lock and an arm bar and chin bar combination.  Keanu pulls EK to the mat.  EK gets to his feet and Keanu with a knee and he connects with a forearm to the lower back.  EK with a thrust kick and a round kick but Keanu with a clothesline.  Keanu with a biel.  Keanu with the arm bar and chin bar on EK.  EK with punches.  Keanu with a forearm to the back.

Keanu goes for a slam but EK counters with a cutter.  EK with a thrust kick and a flying clothesline.  EK with a quebrada and then he goes up top and he hits a flying leg lariat.  EK with a back heel kick to send Keanu to the floor.  EK goes for a suicide dive and Keanu with a forearm.  Keanu gets EK on his shoulders and he drops EK on the announce table.

Tank Ledger comes out and sends Keanu through the worst constructed ringside barrier in sports entertainment.

Since the referee did not see it despite Tank being there, he makes the count and Keanu barely beats the count.  EK with a flying boot and he goes up top and he hits a moonsault for the three count.

 Winner: EK Prosper via Pinfall

Backstage: Robert Stone, Kendal Grey, Nattie, Layla Diggs, Karmen Petrovic, Nikkita Lyons

Kendal tells Stone to give Kelani her title match.

Izzi, Lizzy Rain, Layla Diggs, and Thea Hail will be in a number one contender match for the North American Title.

Nattie shows up and she says she loves people who have to earn things.  She says Layla should thank her for ehr title match.  Nattie says no one has earned it more than her.  She says she deserves the world and wants a title match.

Kendal says it doesn’t matter if it is Kali or Nattie.

Stone gives Nattie a match next week.

Jaida Parker vs. Karmen Petrovic

Karmen avoids a lock up.  Jaida gets Karmen on the turnbuckles and Jaida with a break.  Jaida wiht a drop toe hold and a side head lock.  Karmen with a rollup for a near fall.  Jaida returns to the side head lock.  Karmen with a kick and a cross body but Jaida catches Karmen and hits a back breaker.  Jaida blocks boots and chops Karmen in the corner.  Jaida with a springboard seated splash.  Karmen goes to the floor to avoids more offense from Jaida.

Jaida tells Karmen to get back in the ring and Karmen trips Jaida when Jaida gets distracted by the murderer’s row at ringside.  Jaida misses a splash and Karmen with punches.  Karemn with an elbow into teh corner followed by kicks.  Karmen with a sliding kick into the corner.  Karmen mocks Jaida and Jaida with punches.  Karmen with Eat Defeat for a near fall.  Karmen with a kick to the midsection.  Jaida blocks a kick and jaida with a back elbow.  Jaida with a head butt to the midsection.  Karmen gras the leg and Jaida rolls throughh into a Rings of Saturn.  Karmen gets to the ropes to force a break.  Jaida sensd Karemen to the floor.

Nikkita gras Jaida while Karmen distracts the referee.  Nattie with a punch.  Layla doesn’t attack Jaida.  Jaida with a boot and back elbow followed by a clothesline.  Jaida with a gourdbuster and a running hip and a sit out power bomb for the three count.

Winner: Jaida Parker via Pinfall.

Jaida has some words for Nattie.

Backstage: Shiloh Hill, Tatum Paxley, Niko Vance

We see Shiloh with Tatum and Tatum says she will beat Kelani and resume her path to the title.  She points out how Shiloh did and saw a side of Shiloh we never sae.  Shiloh says he likes being able to hide it.  Tatum says they are alike because they know when to tap into the darkness.

Niko tells Shiloh that they made the right decision with Spears and Tatum.  They will take out the weak pieces to get to the top.

Shiloh tells Niko not to talk about Tatum like that.

Backstage: Sean Legacy, Dorian Van Dux

Sean asks Dorian where he was.  Sean says they have to be on the same page if they are going to be a tag team.  He was embarrassed going into Stone’s office without his partner behind him.  Sean tells Dorian about their fatal four way match next week.

Backstage: Wren Sinclair, Myles Borne, Tavion Heights

Myles and Wren are in LOUNGE and Myles asks if there is more cake.  They talk about their wins.

Tavion shows up and Wren has a thing to do.

Myles says that was a hell of a match.  Tavion talks about what Tank did to Keanu and that is what friends do.  Myles says that is what he has been tellling him the whole time.  Myles walks away.

In-Ring: Tony D’Angelo

Tony D’Angelo makes his way to the ring.

Tony says when you use something every day, you take it for granted.  You take seeing every moment, your family at the dinner table, or your co-workers.  There are things you don’t think about.  Last week, he was burnt, scared, and wondered if he could see out of his eye.  Tony says he had a lot of waivers to sign to keep his title.  The last real document he saw, he paused before he signed.  Is he willing to risk his health to defend this title.  Tony says he sat there and he said you’re damn right he is.  He showed up to the Bash with a purpose.  He told Naraku he was going to war.  He talks about blind rage and he never let up.  Tony says he is done with Naraku.

Tony says his eye will make a full recovery, but he has a message for whoever is his next challenger.  He says he is the master of his own fate and captain of his soul.  You saw what he will do, but what are you willing to do to take this title from him.

Tony leaves the ring and  . . 

Kendal Grey makes her way out and she fist bumps with Tony.

Tony returns into the arena area because he was attacked from behind by Naraku with a chair.  Naraku with an STO onto the chair.

We see footage of Naraku spitting mist into Tony’s eye before the attack we saw took place.

Next Week’s Show Card Rundown

Next week, we have two fatal four ways to get number one contenders for the Tag Titles and Women’s North American title.  Kendal defends the women’s title against Nattie.

Tatum Paxley vs. Kelani Jordan

They lock up and Tatum with a take down.  They lock up again and Tatum with another take down.  Tatum with another take down.  Kelani sends Tatum into the turnbuckles.  Tatum avoids being sent intot he turnbuckles but Kelani with a knee and she sends Tatum to the mat.  Tatum laughs and Kelani with a splash for a near fall.  Tatum with a side head lock.  Tatum with a head lock take down.  Kelani with a fish hook to reverse the hold.  Kelani with a back elbow.  Tatum with a drop kick and Kelani goes to the floor.  Tatum goes for a drop kick through the ropes but Kelani blocks it.  Kelani goes for an Asai Moonsault and Tatum moves.  Tatum puts Kelani against the ropes and Tatum with a thrust kick for a near fall.  

Loud noises come from the announce table and we see Kali Armstrong standing over Kendal.

Tatum misses a spinning heel kick into the turnbuckles.  Kelani stomps on the foot.  Kelani wraps the leg in the rope.  Tatum with a back elbow.  Tatum with a rollup for a near fall.  Kelani gets a near fall.  Kelani stomps on the leg and ankle.  Tatum kicks Kelani but Kelani stomps on the heel.  Jordan with a KneeDT.  Kelani works on the leg in the ropes.  Tatum falls to the floor and she holds her ankle.  Kelani sends Tatum back into the ring and Kelani kicks Tatum in the head.  Tatum blocks a kick and Tatum with forearms.  Kelani pushes Tatum down and Kelani with Spanish Fly..  Kelani with a forearm and Tatum with a punch.  Kelani with a chop.  Tatum with a kick and Kelani with a kick.  Tatum with forearms.  Tatum with a back heel kick.  Tatum with a forearm or two and a kick tot he temple and a German suplex.  

Tatum with an enzuigiri from the floor.  Tatum misses a flip leg drop and Kelani misses a kick.  Tatum with a flip leg drop for a near fall.   Tatum goes up top misses a 450 and she lands on her feeet and rolls through.  Kelani misses a move and rolls through.  Tatum with a slingshot suplex and a gourdbuster for a near fall.  Tatum with a bow and arrow but Kelani goes for the ankle and kicks Tatum.  Kelani with a calf crusher but Tatum gets of the hold.  They exchange rollups and counters until Kelani falls to the floor.  Tatum with a forearm and Kelani lands on her feet when Tatum brings her back into the ring.  Kelani with a forearm.  Kelani goes up top and she blocks a super kick from Tatum.  Tatum’s leg is in the turnbuckles and Kelani with a bicycle kick to the leg.  Tatum avoids a cutter.  Tatum with a rolling kick to Kelani and she goes for Cemetery Drive but KElani escpes.  Kelani drives the leg into the mat.  Kelani with a spinning slam and she does it again.  Kelani goes up top for the split legged moonsault for the three count.

Winner:  Kelani Jordan via Pinfall.

After the match, Tatum is attacked by a mystery woman.  She puts Tatum in a torture rack.
