Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar in a Cell Match Announced for WWE SummerSlam 2026

Monday’s WWE RAW show at the Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey featured the first of two new matches announced for the card of SummerSlam 2026.

This new match announced was a Hell in a Cell match of Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar.

This new match was setup following 2026 King of the Ring winner Oba Femi coming out to the ring holding his king’s crown. After some words, Femi was about to announce his choice of his World title match for SummerSlam before being interrupted by Lesnar’s music playing. Lesnar came out to the ring alongside Heyman.

Lesnar grabbed a microphone and talked about all of the insults Femi has behind his back in recent weeks. Lesnar stated that Femi forgot one thing which was “talk shit, get hit” and proceeded to low blow kick him. Lesnar then hit a F5 to lay out Femi and left the ring with Heyman.

As the two were making their way to the back, Femi grabbed a microphone and issued a challenge to Lesnar for a match. Lesnar responded stating he wants to up the ante and issued a stipulation for it to be a Hell in a Cell match at SummerSlam.

In a follow-up segment, RAW GM Adam Pearce was seen backstage in conversation with Heyman about Lesnar’s match challenge only to be interrupted by Austin Theory who confronted Heyman asking him what he was doing since he didn’t even know he was going to be here. Heyman told Theory in a moody tone that now you know and walked off. Pearce then walked away only to catch up to Femi backstage and Femi telling him that he wants this match at SummerSlam. Femi stated that the titles will always be there and he will take his shot when he wants it. Pearce agreed and made the match official for SummerSlam.

Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns for WWE World Title Set for WWE SummerSlam 2026

Monday’s WWE RAW show also featured the second of two new matches announced for the card of SummerSlam 2026, which takes place on August 1-2 at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

This new match announced was a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match of Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns (c).

This new match was setup following an in-ring promo segment involving Reigns and Rollins. During the show, Reigns came out to the ring with Jacob Fatu alongside him. After some words by Reigns, Rollins’ music played to interrupt and came out to the ring. Rollins talked about their past history together in WWE over the past fourteen years starting all the way back to the formation of The Shield. Rollins then talked about Reigns being in possession of a title that belongs to him and it is time for him to collect. Reigns responded telling Rollins that he is in the back of the line and has not done anything of late to earn a shot at the Tribal Chief.

Rollins responded talking about he is always at the front of the line whenever it involves Reigns and brought up all the times he has “owned” Roman” from beating him in the main event of WrestleMania to taking away his “wise man” to him helping Cody Rhodes end Roman’s reign of terror the year before.

Rollins continued talking about how he always had one over Reigns but now he is here to give him something. Rollins continued talking about how Reigns has never beaten him in a match and this might be Roman’s last chance to close that loop since both of them are closer to the end of their careers while the new generation is ready to do the same to what both of them did to the prior old generation.

After some more words, Rollins issued a challenge to Reigns for his title at SummerSlam. Reigns responded stating that Seth is right about a lot of things but that Roman doesn’t want to beat him…he NEEDS to beat him. Reigns stated that he needs to it for his family and at SummerSlam that is what he is going to do. Reigns then accepted the challenge and held up his title as he and Rollins engaged in a staredown before Reigns left with Fatu.

Lyra Valkyria Explains Her Reason for Bayley Attack

Monday’s WWE RAW show also featured Lyra Valkyria explaining her reasons for her attack on Bayley at last week’s show.

During the show, a video aired featuring a disheveled looking Valkyria talking about her teaming with Bayley and how she wants everyone to get off her back about her actions last week. Valkyria talked about how she was the bigger person for a year and how it takes two people to lose a WWE Women’s Tag Team titles match. Valkyria continued talking about how she had put her trust in Bayley and got tired of carrying the load for why she did what she did to Bayley last week.

Raquel Rodriguez Earns Shot at WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title

Monday’s WWE RAW show also featured Raquel Rodriguez defeating Maxxine Dupri in a #1 Contender match for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

As a result of her victory, Rodriguez will be facing off against Sol Ruca for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental title at a future show.
