Video: WWE Night of Champions 2026 Recap
We open the show with a video package featuring highlights from Night of Champions, including the finals of the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments and Sami Zayn winning the Undisputed WWE Championship after pinning Cody Rhodes.
In-Ring: Oba Femi, Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman
From there we go to ringside as the Atlantic City crowd is electric for the arrival of DA RULA, with Oba Femi strutting down the ramp holding his King of the Ring crown. He enters the ring and takes a mic, saying the reception is befitting of a Ruler, but now we need a reception befitting of a King…your 2026 King of the Ring, Oba Femi!
Big “OBA” chant for the King, which Femi enjoys. He says he has made a believer out of Jey Uso. Now, as King of the Ring, he has a choice to make…and uh, here comes the pain as Brock Lesnar’s music hits. The Beast and his advocate Paul Heyman step out onto the stage to a big pop from the crowd. The pair head down the ramp as Femi stares Lesnar down.
Lesnar and Heyman enter the ring, and Lesnar takes the mic to introduce the fans to their King of the Ring. Everyone here knows Lesnar doesn’t watch the show, so he has to get his information from Mr. Heyman, who lets him know what’s going on…including the things Oba has had to say about him.
He says when Brock isn’t here, Oba has been calling him a coward and a b—h, as Paul says Oba is a “good promo.” Brock acknowledges this, joking that he’s not good at this and that’s why he has Mr. Heyman around. You know what they say, Oba…talk s–t, get hit. With that he kicks Oba in his little Rulers before stepping out of the ring with Heyman.
As the pair head up the ramp, Oba gets back to his feet and tells Lesnar to hold on. Lesnar’s been talking about how Femi has called him names behind his back…but he’s standing right in front of him, and he’s still a b—h! He calls out Lesnar for a match one on one at SummerSlam, and Lesnar ups the ante by telling the Ruler he wants him in Hell in a Cell!
The crowd pops big style for the announcement.
Pre-show Arrivals
we cut backstage, where Judgment Day have completely missed call time in arriving late to the venue ahead of JD McDonagh’s match against Chad Gable. We also get Superstar Arrivals for the Street Profits, LA Knight, Jimmy Uso, and more before heading to commercial break.
Backstage: Adam Pearce, Paul Heyman, Austin Theory, Oba Femi

Backstage, we see Paul Heyman hyping up the match to Raw GM Adam Pearce before Austin Theory steps in talking about a match he has later tonight. He didn’t know his wise man was even gonna be here…and Heyman says now you know, before walking off. Adam doesn’t need to go far to bump into Oba Femi, confirming that he wants this match against Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. Femi says the titles will always be there and he will take his shot when he wants it.
“All Ego” Ethan Page vs. Rey Mysterio
619 🔥@reymysterio picks up the WIN over Ethan Page! pic.twitter.com/9OrMJfIfWU
— WWE (@WWE) June 29, 2026
Ethan with a side headlock only to be sent to the ropes by Mysterio, who takes control with a headscissors sending Page to the corner. Ethan catches the Hall of Famer by surprise by sending him face first into the turnbuckle, and continues the attack by sending him across the ring for more damage before the ref intervenes.
Rey starts to turn things around until Ethan gets him into a tree of woe for some stomps. He props Mysterio back up, teasing that he’s going to take Rey’s mask off…but Mysterio knocks him away. Page comes back with a side slam onto the top turnbuckle, sending the Hall of Famer to the outside as we go to commercial.
Both men are back in the ring now, with Page landing a backbreaker on Mysterio. Rey tries to go for a sunset flip but Aloha Ego says no. He goes for a right hand but Rey slips away, sending Page to the outside for a baseball slide into a splash. The ref begins the count as Rey brings Page back into the ring, landing a seated senton from the top rope. Springboard cross body connects, but it’s only good for two as Page kicks out.
Page heads to the corner, where Mysterio intercepts him for some punches. Rey brings him across the ring for a wheelbarrow off the turnbuckle, but Ethan just slams him to the mat for a nearfall. Rey fires back with an enziguri that sends Page to the ropes…but All Ego puts a stop on a 619 with a boot, slamming Rey to the mat for a two count!
Page gets Mysterio onto his shoulders, heading up the turnbuckle before Rey fights back for a hurricanrana. He sends Page into the ropes, connecting with a 619 and a Frog Splash for the win!
Winner: Rey Mysterio via Pinfall.
Mysterio celebrates his win.
Backstage: Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh
Dom and JD just NEVER learnhausen! 😬
— WWE (@WWE) June 29, 2026
Don't mess with @danhausenad! pic.twitter.com/weFwSfXu3n
We head backstage, where his son Dominik is with JD McDonagh looking for Danhausen inside his little lab getup. They can’t find him to get their money back, and JD is nervous about getting uncursed ahead of his match later tonight. Dom finds a gift from the New York Knicks, deciding to send Danhausen a little message before the pair talk about wrecking the place.
Backstage: LA Knight
Elsewhere, LA Knight (YEAH) is getting ready for his match against Jimmy Uso later tonight before we go to commercial.
In-Ring: Joe Hendry, Street Profits, Austin Theory
A little song by @joehendry and The Street Profits 🎶 pic.twitter.com/DRldMcDTvl
— WWE (@WWE) June 29, 2026
We head back to ringside, and I hope YOU believe because Joe Hendry is here!
He gets the crowd hyped up as he introduces the World Tag Team Champions, the Street Profits! As the new champs head down the ramp we take a look back at the match last week, where involvement from Hendry and Seth Rollins helped a little in the Profits taking the belts from The Vision. By this point, the champs have entered the ring to a nice pop from the crowd.
Montez Ford talks about winning the titles last week before having some people to thank. First and foremost, they thank the WWE Universe for always beliving their Profits were up. They also thank Seth Rollins for his help, before turning their attention to the main man the fans came to see tonight…Joe Hendry. Ford recalls the beautiful song, and they believe it sounded like…this.
Hendry kicks off his song talking about the new champs, and the fact they don’t have to hear Logan talk. They also don’t have to hear from Heyman, since he’s busy with Brock…Lesnar. Joe continues by addressing Austin Theory being “destroyed” on the mic by John Cena…and Theory is none too pleased by the remarks, as he makes his way out.
Theory reminds us that he beat John Cena at WrestleMania before running down the Street Profits, letting them know that The Vision is getting their rematch next week. Dawkins asks if Bron (“the dog”) is healthy enough, but Austin insists that the dog will be off his leash. As for Joe, Theory’s glad that Hendry’s latest song is about him, because just like Cena supposedly destroyed him in the mic, Austin is gonna destroy Hendry in the ring tonight!
Hendry tells him Joe Says No before saying they could either do this later or they can do this right here, right now! He drops the mic and Cole wonders if this is happening before we go to commercial. (Spoiler: It probably will.)
Joe Hendry vs. Austin Theory
Joe Hendry with the big WIN! 🎼
— WWE (@WWE) June 29, 2026
DOWN goes Austin Theory! pic.twitter.com/OwpUSIDp0j
Sure enough, this match is underway!
Theory takes control early with a chinlock, but Hendry manages to fight back from the ropes. Theory looks out of sorts now as Joe hits a spinning lariat he calls the Hit Single, but it’s only good for a two count. He sends Austin to the corner, but Theory lays him out with a left hand for a nearfall of his own. Neckbreaker leads to another two count.
Theory is frustrated as he talks down on Hendry with some right hands, and the two get to trading strikes before Theory hits an elbow…but as he hits the ropes he runs into a falling uranage slam of sorts for the win!
Winner: Joe Hendry via Pinfall.
Joe celebrates his win.
Backstage: Adam Pearce, Raquel Rodriguez, Liv Morgan, Roxanne Perez

— WWE (@WWE) June 29, 2026
We go backstage, where Raquel tries to angle for a title match with Adam Pearce but to no avail. Pearce walks off before Liv and Roxanne appear, with the Women’s World Champion focused on the threat of IYO SKY. Rodriguez assures her everything will be fine as we go to commercial.
In-Ring: IYO SKY, Liv Morgan
The Judgment Day with a VICIOUS assault on IYO SKY 😩
— WWE (@WWE) June 29, 2026
And @yaonlylivvonce stands tall! pic.twitter.com/sDb5m4qSPi
We head back to ringside as IYO SKY makes her entrance to a big pop from the crowd. She has a mic and says she’s excited to return to the United States as Queen of the Ring, putting on her crown to another big pop. She talks about beating Liv Morgan to become queen, and that she will beat her again at SummerSlam to become the new champion.
Liv Morgan is not happy to hear this as she makes her way to the stage, the New Jersey crowd cheering loud for their hometown hero. They’re less thrilled about Liv running down IYO, saying she only lost the match because of Danhausen. Things will be different the next time they face off, because now Liv doesn’t respect IYO. She talks about Finn Balor being betrayed and no one hearing from Stephanie Vaquer or Rhea Ripley, before promising to beat IYO at SummerSlam to remain the greatest champion of alllllllllll tiiiiiiiime.
She tells IYO that she’s in a whole lot of trouble as Roxanne and Raquel get onto the apron, only to be knocked off by SKY. This allows Morgan to go for Oblivion, but IYO catches her and drops her to the mat instead. She connects with a roundhouse kick before going up top, but Rodriguez and Perez cut her off to lay a beatdown on the Queen of the Ring.
They prop SKY up against the ropes, allowing Morgan to drop her to the mat with Oblivion. She follows up with a half crab, shades of what she used to take out Charlotte Flair in the tournament. Officials come running down to break things up, and Morgan stands over her with the title as her music hits.
Commentary address what happen, also hyping up Liv Morgan appearing at an upcoming Zuffa Boxing event
Video: LA Knight, Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa
We take a look back at the issues between LA Knight and The Usos (and by proxy, Solo Sikoa) that has brought us to tonight’s match between Knight and Jimmy Uso.
LA Knight vs. Jimmy Uso
Solo Sikoa with ANOTHER hit on The Bloodline!! 🫢 pic.twitter.com/arb2zuwbpJ
— WWE (@WWE) June 29, 2026
We head back to ringside as Jimmy Uso makes his entrance, with Jey joining commentary as we get this match underway!
Knight leaves the ring to confront Jey, making sure he’s going to stay where he’s at before heading back in the ring. He locks up with Jimmy, who sends him to the corner before the ref calls for a break. LA takes control with a side headlock takeover, mocking him for bringing Jey out here as Jimmy fights back to his feet.
Knight wrings the arm of Jimmy until Uso turns it around, bringing LA to the mat. He sends Knight to the ropes, only to take a shoulder tackle that turns things around. He brings Jimmy to the corner, staring Jey down while stomping away at Jimmy. He charges at Jimmy with a boot, pulling him to the center for a cover and a nearfall. Jimmy turns things around now, sending Knight to the outside for a dive as we head to commercial break.
Back from break, Jimmy maintains control with a shoulder tackle off the ropes sending Knight to the mat. LA heads to the corner where Jimmy looks for a big hip attack…but Knight dodges disaster, getting to his feet for some right hands. Jimmy sends him to the ropes, but this leads to Knight landing a clothesline. He sends Jimmy to the corner for a neckbreaker to the mat, heading up top to hop over a superkick attempt…but Jimmy hits him with a thrust kick and a spear!
Cover by Jimmy is only good for two. He goes up top but is intercepted by Knight, who sends Big Jim to the canvas with a superplex. Knight makes the cover but Jimmy kicks out. The fight spills to the outside as Knight brings Jimmy to his feet, with Jey telling LA to stop cheating. Knight feigns throwing Jimmy into his brother before sending him back into the ring…and laying out Jey with a big boot sending him off the chair to the floor!
He gets back into the ring, looking for the win until Jey hops onto the apron. Knight sends him away but gets rolled up by Jimmy, who picks up the win!
Winner: Jimmy Uso via Pinfall.
Jey gets into the ring as The Usos start beating down Knight…until Solo Sikoa makes his way through the crowd, dropping Jimmy from the ropes with a Samoan Spike! He backs off through the crowd as LA Knight stares him down, realizing he may have to work with Sikoa to deal with the Bloodline once more.
Video: Gunther, Nick Aldis
Commentary talks about what just happened before hyping up WWE Unreal’s third season. They transition to the situation backstage at Night of Champions where Gunther confronted Nick Aldis about how his title match went. Things got super heated between the two, as we find out that both men have been sent home and Aldis is under administrative leave pending further investigation. As such, Adam Pearce is temporarily taking control of both Raw and SmackDown.
Backstage: Chad Gable, Penta
Backstage we see Chad Gable warming up for his match when Penta has a chat with him. We’ll see Gable take on JD McDonagh later tonight!
Backstage: The Usos, Jacob Fatu
The Bloodline is PISSED OFF!! 😡 pic.twitter.com/cJoijpC4tk
— WWE (@WWE) June 29, 2026
Backstage, The Usos confront Jacob Fatu about not being out there to help them. Fatu says Roman is sending him to SmackDown to deal with Solo, and The Usos reluctantly accept this as Raw rolls on.
Video: Lyra Valkyria
Lyra Valkyria is DONE being nice! 😲 pic.twitter.com/Mb4e7KfUVg
— WWE (@WWE) June 29, 2026
We get a vignette from Lyra Valkyria addressing what she did to Bayley in London, talking about how she knows what she can do on her own and dealing with the gap between who she is and who she could be. It felt so good to close that gap just a little.
Backstage: Maxxine Dupri, Chad Gable
Things aren't perfect between @WWEGable and @maxxinedupri, but bridges are being built 🫶 pic.twitter.com/DUopHRBVJT
— WWE (@WWE) June 29, 2026
Backstage, Maxxine passes by Chad Gable. She stops to tell him she meant every word she said but she’s sorry for how she handled it. Gable tells her it’s okay, she doesn’t owe him an apology or forgiveness. If it comes that’s on her own time, but not tonight. He tells her to focus on what’s in front of her, and that’s this match up next.
Raquel Rodriguez vs. Maxxine Dupri
.@RaquelWWE just made a STATEMENT!! 💪

She is HUNGRY for the Intercontinental Title! pic.twitter.com/mCrUz4MqW7
Rodriguez takes control early on, sending Maxxine to the outside to beat her down. She brings her opponent back into the ring for a cover, but only gets a nearfall. Maxxine starts to fire back, but Rodriguez catches her with the Tejana Bomb for the win!
Winner: Rachel Rodriguez via Pinfall.
She celebrates her win.
Backstage: Danhausen, Liv Morgan
This is so unfairhausen to @danhausenad 😔@yaonlylivvonce pic.twitter.com/rRJWSs4sJb
— WWE (@WWE) June 29, 2026
We cut backstage, where Danhausen laments his lab being trashed and his Knicks gift being stolen. Liv Morgan tells him he got what he deserved for taking their money and cursing JD. I’m so heated about them adding that Rodriguez-Maxxine match that I missed the rest of this, so let’s see what happened…
Chad Gable vs. JD McDonagh
OH COME ON 😔@RaquelWWE attacks @DanhausenAD and gets the jersey back for The Judgment Day! pic.twitter.com/xBnifJEMkd
— WWE (@WWE) June 30, 2026
Back at ringside, Chad Gable makes his entrance (man I hate this music) as we go to commercial ahead of his match against JD McDonagh.
Back at ringside, JD McDonagh makes his entrance alongside Dominik Mysterio, wearing the New York Knicks jersey that was gifted to Danhausen before this match gets underway!
The two men lock up, only for JD to be taken to the mat. JD escapes to the ropes for a break, and they lock up again with Chad wringing the arm of McDonagh. JD turns it around as he sends Gable to the mat, but Chad breaks free before sending JD down with a drop toe hold. La Magistral gets a two count, and JD gets back to his feet to send Chad to the ropes.
Gable fights back, taking JD down hard with a hip toss before McDonagh pops back up…only to be caught in an ankle lock by Gabel! JD manages to break the hold by getting to the ropes, heading outside for a breather while Mysterio tries to get his bud back into this as we go to commercial.
We find out that JD has regained control by sending Gable into the steps earlier, and this gives McDonagh an opening until Chad fires back with a release German suplex. He goes for the cover, but JD kicks out at two.
JD gets to the corner, where Gable catches him with a couple spinning kicks. The third time around, JD counters with a standing Spanish Fly for the cover…only for Gable to counter into a cradle of his own for two! Both men fight to their feet until JD lands a brainbuster for a nearfall.
Gable slowly gets to his feet as JD pops back up, charging toward Gable…who counters into another ankle lock! JD manages to break free as he heads to the corner. Gable tries to intercept him as they fight it out, and this ends with McDonagh dropping Chad to the canvas with a Spanish Fly!
Cover by JD but it’s only good for two. Danhausen is seen in the crowd, telling Dominik that he has the money that he wants. This leads to Dom chasing after him while JD looks on befuddled…only for Gable to roll him up for a nearfall. JD fights back, only for Chad to roll through for another ankle lock…and McDonagh has no choice here but to tap out!
Winner: Chad Gable via Submission.
Chad celebrates his win outside the ring as Dominik returns to check on JD after retrieving the case of money. They leave the ring to open the case…and there’s money there, to be sure, but they also get blasted with some kind of powder! This allows Danhausen to grab his jersey from Dominik. He heads up the ramp with it, only to be blindsided by Raquel who takes it back.
Dominik disappears as Raquel brings the jersey to her fellas
Video: WWE SummerSlam 2026 Matches Announcement
We get some hype for the matches made official for SummerSlam.
In-Ring: Roman Reigns, Jacob Fatu, Seth Rollins
"I NEED to beat you" 🤯@WWERomanReigns has ACCEPTED @WWERollins challenge for SummerSlam!!
— WWE (@WWE) June 30, 2026
🎟️: https://t.co/NCo5yBBF5n pic.twitter.com/GzgG6ACFAQ
Back at ringside, Roman Reigns makes his entrance alongside Jacob Fatu, and we will hear from the OTC and World Heavyweight Champion up next!
The OTC has entered the ring, telling Atlantic City to acknowledge him. Never mind all that, though, because it’s time to BURN IT DOOOOOOWN…and out comes Seth Rollins, as I stare at the clock hoping this whole segment wraps up in ten minutes. Nine minutes now, as Rollins makes his way down the ramp staring at the OTC the whole way. Eight minutes, and Rollins gets to ringside.
He heads to the ring steps, soaking in the adulation of the crowd singing along with his theme as he steps through the ropes. He stares the OTC and Jacob Fatu down. Seven minutes, as Rollins circles the mat continuing to look his old friend and rival up and down. Seth gets a big pop as his music ends, and the crowd is chanting for both men before going back to singing Seth’s theme.
Six minutes, as the two men continue to stare each other down. Crowd chanting “OTC” and that dies down as they continue to stare. Seth raises the mic to speak, saying “Hello my brother.” He addresses them being tied together for fourteen years, all the way back to the formation of The Shield.
Call it destiny or fate, but it seems appropriate that they’re in Atlantic City…and Roman is in possession of a title that belongs to Seth. Yes, my brother, it is time to collect. Reigns scoffs at this, saying Rollins must be confused. Seth is the back of the line, and that he hasn’t done anything of late to earn a shot at the tribal chief.
Rollins says he can play that game with anyone else, but Seth is always at the front of the line. For everything Reigns has done, it’s because of Rollins..and for everything that Roman is, Seth owns him. He owns Roman in the ring and in his mind. He addresses beating Roman in the main event of WrestleMania to take his wise man. The year prior, he helped Cody end Roman’s reign of terror.
We can look back even further, when Seth took Roman’s main event at WrestleMania 31 and Reigns couldn’t do a thing about it. He has always had one over on Reigns, but now he’s here to give Roman something. Everything that people say Roman is, he is that great.
He talks up Roman’s records and accomplishments, but says there’s one thing he hasn’t been able to do…beat Rollins. He’s here to give Reigns that opportunity, and he’s gonna be real with all of us right now. This may be Roman’s last chance to close that loop. The two of them came into this company together, came through that crowd, knocked down the door, kicked the old generation to the curb, and made this place their own.
They made the greatest generation in the history of this industry, they did that together. But they are much closer to the end than to the beginning, and much like it was when they came in hungry, there’s a new generation looking to do the same to us. So again, this may be their last chance to do this dance, brother. Roman will go down as one of the best of all time. He’s a first-ballot hall of famer, and in fact they could give him his own hall of fame show and he might be lucky enough to induct him…but he’ll never be able to escape the ghost of Rollins.
So what’d you say, brother, for old time’s sake?
Roman says that Seth is right about a lot of things but that Roman doesn’t want to beat him…he NEEDS to beat him. He needs to it for his family, and at SummerSlam that’s what he’s going to do. Roman accepts…brother. Reigns raises the title up high as he and Seth stare each other down. Roman and Fatu leave the ring as Raw comes to a close.
