As noted before, WWE was believed to be interested in indies talent Zilla Fatu for a potential contract following Fatu visiting the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida earlier this month. Fatu had stated in an interview with Bootleg Kev this past May that he is only interested in wanting to go to WWE and not AEW for his wrestling career to fulfill his late father Umaga’s legacy in WWE.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Fatu is currently expected to sign with WWE if he has not been signed already.
It was reported that Fatu has been going through some of the processes needed to prepare for signing with WWE.
Those spoken to reportedly stated that while there has been long been speculation that Fatu could sign with the company, the plans for him to be brought in came together fairly recently.
Fatu has been wrestling since making his in-ring debut for Reality of Wrestling in 2023.
