Rey Mysterio Gives Andrea Bazarte New AAA Contract & Announces Tournament To Crown New AAA Latin American Champion

Saturday’s AAA TV show on FOX Latin America and WWE and AAA’s official YouTube channels featured AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio making two big announcements.

The first new announcement was Mysterio calling out for AAA interviewer Andrea Bazarte to come out to the ring, which she did. Mysterio stated that he wanted to correct an injustice when Bazarte was fired, in reference to the stipulation from Original El Grande Americano (Chad Gable) for the Mask vs. Mask match with El Grande Americano. Mysterio stated that he has a new contract with a pay raise for her and offered it to her if she wants. Bazarte responded talking about how she loves AAA and doesn’t want to miss it any longer. Bazarte accepted the contract making her return to AAA official.

The second new announcement was a new tournament for the Vacant AAA Latin American Championship to crown a new champion. Mysterio announced that a series of four Triple Threat qualifiers matches will be held with the winners advancing to a Fatal Four-way match for the title at this September’s Triplemania 34 event. Mysterio also announced that this tournament officially starts tonight.

The qualifying matches announced were:

La Parka vs. Mecha Wolf vs. Dragon Lee
El Fiscal vs. Cruz del Toro vs. Psycho Clown
Omos vs. Damian Priest vs. Galeno
El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. vs. Abismo Negro Jr. vs. Texano Jr.

El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. Advances to Vacant AAA Latin Title Fatal Four-way at Triplemania 34

Saturday’s AAA TV show also featured El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. defeating Abismo Negro Jr. and Texano Jr. in a Triple Threat Qualifying match for the Vacant AAA Latin American Championship.

As a result of his victory, El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. advances to the Fatal Four-way match for the Vacant AAA Latin American title at Triplemania 34, which takes place on September 11 at the Luxor Theater in Las Vegas, Nevada and September 13 at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico.

Dominik Mysterio & El Grande Americano vs. Perros del Mal Set for AAA Verano De Escandalo 2026

Saturday’s AAA TV show also featured one new match announced for the card of AAA’s Verano de Escandalo 2026 three week special, which takes place starting next week on July 25.

This new match announced was a tag team match of Dominik Mysterio & El Grande Americano vs. two members of Los Perros del Mal (Daga, Bronco Nima, Karmen Petrovic, & Los Garza (Angel & Berto)).

This new match was intially setup over last week’s show following Mysterio challenging Perros del Mal to a tag team match at Verano de Escandalo. During tonight’s show, Perros del Mal came out to the ring and Daga gave a promo talking about his group and boasting about each member in it. Daga then responded to Mysterio’s challenge accepting it for Verano de Escandalo. This led to Mysterio, El Grande, & Los Americanos (Rayo & Bravo Americano) coming out and a big brawl breaking out as the show went to a close.

It was not stated which of the three week’s this upcoming match will be taking place on.

Current Card for Next Week’s AAA Verano De Escando 2026 Week 1

Saturday’s AAA TV show also featured one new match announced for the card of next week’s Verano De Escando 2026 Week 1 show at the Arena San Marcos in Aguascalientes, Mexico.

This new match announced was an AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship match of. La Heidra & Laredo Kid vs. Lola Vice & Mr. Iguana (c). This new match was setup following La Hiedra & Laredo Kid defeating Faby Apache & Joaquim Wilde in a #1 Contender match.
