Claudio Castagnoli Comments on Ultimate Mission Statement for Death Riders in AEW

Soundsphere Magazine held a recent interview with Claudio Castagnoli. One of the topics discussed included Castagnoli’s thoughts about the “ultimate mission statement” that the Death Riders have for AEW.

“I want to expand, and I would like to learn, so it’s always a give and take, I feel. That is the mission statement for us,” he concludes. “We want to make this the best place for people to be and for the best to wrestle. As we said, everybody already is – that’s what AEW is and has been. So, that just means that’s what we try to do every single day. Like, lead by example, do what we say. The ultimate statement is to make AEW a wrestling utopia.”

Castagnoli also gave his thoughts about Will Ospreay recently joining the Death Riders.

“It was always about getting Will to that next level,” he nods. “It was never about changing Will. He was already great.

Everybody steps up, and everybody believes in what the team is doing. Even if nobody else outside the group knows, we do. Mox has a vision,” he says. “I trust him. But that trust doesn’t come overnight. I’ve known him for 16 years plus, and we’ve been all around the world together, in and out of the ring. The trust doesn’t come easily, but I trust him with my life.”

Darby Allin Reveals Fire Trucks Showed Up To His House Thinking It Blew Up During Filming of AEW Collision Segment

Saturday’s AEW Collision show featured a promo video segment involving Darby Allin being in a field outdoors and walked up to an abandoned car. Allin spray-painted a message of “Kevin needs to be humbled” on the car in reference to his current feud with TNT Champion Kevin Knight. Allin then set the car on fire as a warning to Knight.

In a recent post on Instagram, Allin revealed that fire trucks showed up during the filming of the segment after they thought his house blew up. Allin stated that he had to explain to them in writing that he was filming a television project for his job at AEW and wrestling show on TNT.

Kevin Knight Sets New TNT Title Defense Record

Saturday’s AEW Collision show featured “The Jet” Kevin Knight defeating AR Fox to retain the TNT Championship. This match was notable for being Knight’s ninth successful title defense in his reign and set a new all-time record for most title defenses of the TNT title in AEW history.

Following the show, AEW issued a statement on Twitter congratulating Knight on the achievement.
