Matt Sydal Joins SkyFlight

Thursday’s taped AEW Collision show featured Matt Sydal being revealed as the newest member of SkyFlight.

During the show, SkyFlight’s Dante Martin, Darius Martin, Scorpio Sky, and Christopher Daniels were seen backstage with Sydal. Darius talked about Sydal’s recent return and SkyFlight’s offer for him to join their group if that is what he wants to do. Sydal responded saying it would be an honor and accepted the offer officially becoming the newest member of the group.


Jay White Competes In First Match in Over 400 Days

Thursday’s taped AEW Collision show also featured Jay White competing for the first time in about 459 days due to a broken hand injury.

White teamed up with fellow Bang Bang Gang members Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn, & Juice Robinson and Adam Copeland in an Eight-Man Tag Team match against Shane Taylor Promotions, which was won by the Bang Bang Gang and Copeland.

This was White’s first match since April of 2025.


The Conglomeration Says Mark Briscoe Is Out With Injuries

Thursday’s taped AEW Collision show also featured AEW World Trios Champions The Conglomeration providing an update on Mark Briscoe’s health following his AEW World Championship match against MJF at Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show.

During the show, The Conglomeration’s Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, and Kyle O’Reilly were seen backstage with Lexy Nair for an interview. Cassidy stated that Briscoe suffered several injuries during his match against MJF and they are not sure when he will be back. O’Reilly responded that it is not all bad news since Willow Nightingale will be back soon from her own injury.

It is currently not known if Briscoe’s injuries are legitimate or if this was just a storyline injuries.


Athena Wins #1 Spot & Maya World Wins #2 Spot for Women’s Casino Gauntlet Match

Thursday’s taped AEW Collision show also featured two matches to determine the top two entrants for the Women’s Casino Gauntlet match at next week’s AEW Dynamite Beach Break 2026 show.

The first match was Athena defeating Rina to earn the #1 spot.

The second match was Maya World defeating Julia Hart to earn the #2 spot.
