Fightful Select reported that their sources within AEW stated that AEW officials have been working on plans to give current TNT Champion Kevin Knight a major push in the company within the near future.
AEW officials reportedly have held recent internal discussions about Knight being given an AEW World Championship match within the near future.
Those spoken to reportedly stated that this potential match taking place at AEW’s upcoming Redemption event this month is something that wasn’t completely off the table.
Knight mostly recently was involved in a storyline with MJF over him demanding a shot at the AEW World Championship in return for helping MJF deal with his issues with Mark Briscoe and The Conglomeration. Following Kenny Omega defeating MJF to become the new champion at AEW’s Dynamite Beach Break 2026 show, Knight made his intentions clear that he was still going after the AEW World title regardless who was champion.
